This place has great potential. The owner did a great job with design and decor. It’s everything else that lacks the necessary attention to make this place great. I booked the honeymoon suite (the geisha room) for a romantic getaway with my husband. We tried, really, to just keep a positive mindset but it was hard when we felt so grossed out and uncomfortable. The carpets were dirty, there was hair in our sheets, there are cobwebs everywhere, and it’s just dingy. The dark lighting is probably intentional so guests can’t see all the filth. Aside from that, things we booked the room for simply didn’t work. The fireplace does not work. Called the front desk and the gal tried to help but she kept telling me to use the fan remote. She even tried herself. I’m telling you, this is the fan remote. This is not the fireplace remote. Upon discovery, we say so much battery aids corrosion on the ignitor there’s no way it could even work. She told us they would fix it tomorrow. It never got fixed. I am still upset about this. I asked her how to use the fountain- she said it used to work and then shrugged. Oh... I tried it myself only to discover so much mold and slime dripping from the poorer that I just couldn’t continue. We aLmost left after night one but we tried to bare it. We used the jacuzzi- after cleaning it ourselves. The shower has a strange dirt smell. This place is not luxurious. Don’t let the price fool you. I’d the owner just put more focus into making sure things worked and were clean and sanitary it...
Read moreI don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I need to point out some things. Our family booked three rooms. I didn’t mind my room, Leather and Lace, but it needs more attention. I don’t believe the area rug gets vacuumed, and the bath mat had not been washed. We only got one glass in our room, and no spoon to put the coffee into the filter to brew a small pot of coffee. When I dumped coffee into the filter, the coffee maker took 20 minutes to brew. What I was most disappointed in was accessibility. There are steps with little room to open the door when leaving our room, and there are steps to get to the bathroom area. We had two family members that are mobility impaired, that we booked two other rooms for. They’re not in wheelchairs, but need to take someone’s arm to walk securely. The access to their rooms was horrible. Washed out gravel trenches around the steps with little railing to get to their room. It might be fine for some, but if you’re mobility impaired, please call and see if there is a room even appropriate to stay in, at this facility. Access to the different rooms leaves a bit to be desired at this old building that the rooms are in. There are many steps to get up to the check in counter. Very disappointed, but the location was perfect for our two night stay to go to...
Read moreIf you thinking about staying here don't This is the worst hotel I have been in any where in the world. I gave it 1star so I could leave a review. The web site show a different view than it is today. The complete place is in need of maintenance. Twenty years it may have been what the pictures show. At check in when we went to the room it smelled of heavy mildew with floor fan blowing and a small a/c unit sitting on the floor taped to the window with plastic. The brick shower floor was covered with black mold. Dirty room to much to list. Talk to the lady up at the bar not the owner and asked for a different room she said they were booked. Then found out entire town of Big Fork was full. Having no option for now we went to dinner. When we returned no one in charge at the hotel. All gone for the day at 8:15 but a Vacancy sign on in the window. During the night was awful smell and then the a/c that really did not work over heated and smelled to melting plastic. I turned it off . Could go on but at 2am we spent the rest of night in the car. In the. Morning no one in the hotel others folks told us they don't show up until around noon. We left in total discuss on how a place could be so bad and the owner not care. Believe me beware of what you see and what is...
