Our first and last visit here, unfortunately. Proâs: -The place is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. -The steak was incredible. -I donât believe Susie was âsupposed to beâ our waitress, but she took our table and was very accommodating and sweet. Conâs: -Our waitress let us know someone âstoleâ all of the âstartersâ (and whatever else) pages out of their menu books. Thankfully I had peeked at the menu before arriving and asked, otherwise I wouldnât have known any different. Iâm not certain why temporary copies of the other menu pages werenât printed when the staff became aware of this⌠-I thought the charcuterie board we ordered looked great until I saw a table sitting nearby got additional things on theirs. Also, there was about a 3â black hair in between the first and second slice of one of the cheeses. Gross. -When unrolling my silverware, my napkin had at least three long light brown hairs rolled up in it. Also gross. -The steak fries that came with the entree did not have a âpotatoâ taste to them at all. As weird as it sounds: more like a banana, if Iâm being honest. No garlic as stated on the menu and they were EXTREMELY over seasoned. My husband didnât touch his and thatâs saying something since he was so over hungry. -We couldnât help but notice a couple sitting in front of us at a tall tableâŚthey asked to be seated next to us after one of the short tables opened up. They were told the âkitchen lost their ticketâ and waited âtwo and a half hoursâ for their entrees. Apparently they arrived ânot warmâ and their broccoli was not cooked. They were never checked on or catered to when sat at the table closer to us and were âcompedâ her salmon dinner. Nobody from management or the apparent owner on the floor came to remedy the situation or apologize. We felt terrible for themâŚthey were livid and the situation was not handled well at all. -When waiting for our card to be ran, the place was significantly quieter than when we arrived⌠The bartender had four waitresses surrounding him and was talking so loudly, the people on the patio could hear him, Iâm certain. He kept dropping the F bomb while telling his stories and was talking about how he would/did (who knows) âkick their assâ. Extremely tasteless. Looking around the dining area, you could clearly tell a majority of the patrons were tourists. It makes me sad they got the same experience we did. Thatâs not what Bigfork/the Flathead Valley is⌠Susie and the steak itself made our experience here decent, but we will not be returning or recommending...
Read moreDrinks were fantastic. They always are.
The food was really disappointing though. Especially at the price. The burrata appetizer was decent.
Our food seemed to take a while to come out, even though it was not busy.
I ordered the chicken with the polenta cakes and a mustard Demi-glacĂŠ. The chicken was fine, although a really small serving. The polenta cakes tasted extremely bitter and burnt, and the sauce was almost nowhere to be found.
My wife ordered the salmon with the risotto. The risotto seemed off, maybe previously frozen? Either way it was very bland. Same with the salmon, it had hardly any of the herb butter on it.
We probably wonât return, perhaps just for drinks. Although the seating in those booths and the half circle chairs were awfully uncomfortable.
I felt like the quality of the food we received was not on par with the price we paid. Neither of us finished our entrees.
The wait staff however was amazingly friendly and really enjoyed our server and...
Read moreAs for restaurants go, there are a few hits and misses in downtown bigfork, but this is a great place. I didn't think this place was open yet but when we drove by and saw it was officially open we just HAD to try! It's a small restaurant but full of character and great tasting food. Love the vibe. Big windows to view the cute downtown area. It reminds me of the little restaurants we'd go to in Lake Tahoe. Everything we ordered was great. We ordered the chop salad, a side of the salt and vinegar chips, and the smashburger. I'd recommend all of it. I'd go back just for that chop salad again. Of course we had to try some whiskey, highly recommend. I didn't get a chance to try a glass of wine but that just gives me a reason to go...
