Mattress Firm Northwest Barry Road Outlet Center — Hotel in Kansas City

First off I will start off saying I am a big online shopper and did hours upon hours of research online for the best "bang for the buck" mattress in a box or like mattress. We went into the store with intentions of just having my wife see if she liked the memory foam feel. When we walked into the store, Annette greeted us very generously and asked what brought us in. I am not a fan of the typical "salesperson." Annette was not a typical salesperson by any means. She made us feel at home and took her time with us. She answered all of my technical questions with great knowledge and expertise. She was able to find us an incredible deal on an adjustable base and one of Mattress Firm's brand "bed in a box." We were very impressed on how competitive their pricing was and decided to go ahead and purchase a mattress and adjustable base. Unfortunately, a few days after the purchase, their website was running a special for the same exact mattress for half off. I knew about their price guarantee thanks to Annette on the initial sale and thought I would call to see what they could do to meet the same price. When I called I spoke to a gentleman named Kelcey. He was polite and I explained the situation to him. He was understanding and said I will look into this and get back to you. Keep in mind during these "covid times" there isn't any direct customer service available, only each individual stores sales persons. Within a few hours, Kelcey called me back after talking to his district manager and resolved the price issue. They truly stand behind their policies. Buy from them with confidence! No one from Mattress Firm asked me to create this review, nor am I the review type of person. My husband and I came to this location looking for information on a new mattress after our old one was damaged. We both are extremely introverted people, so when Wes helped us out it was a match made in heaven!

Wes knew exactly when to give us room to breathe, and was ready at attention when we had questions. (And we had no shortage of them.) He gave us a couple of different options without overwhelming us with choices, and was very good about not pushing products we did not need. He was very easy to talk to, calm, and displayed excellent empathy for our concerns.

As someone who has worked in sales my whole life, Wes is everything a salesperson should be! We likely would have left without buying anything had we been paired with a pushy salesperson, but since Wes made it so easy and left no questions unanswered we felt ready to buy the same day!

Wes also went above and beyond, being sure to price match the website sales and offers, and even finding solutions on the go to unexpected problems.

As a woman, I also appreciated deeply that he addressed my husband and myself as equals, rather than only speaking to my husband like I’ve had happen to me many times in other circumstances. I also appreciated his open-mindedness, as he was not thrown off by our age or unique appearances. He treated us as any other customer, with dignity and respect.

Annette & Rusty were amazing! They worked together as a team to provide a great experience for both my husband and myself and the other two couples in the store. Annette was knowledgeable about the types of mattresses and what would fit our needs...helping us to spend less time in the store (with our 4 children running around and laying on all the beds). Rusty is a financial wizard! He helped us get an affordable price on the mattress and adjustable frame we wanted. Both Annette & Rusty were very understanding & pleasant with our children. Neither seemed to mind them running about the store. We also didn’t feel pressured to buy a certain mattress or base or anything at all. The delivery men were awesome as well.
