The COVID booking rules are very, and unreasonably, strict. I was truly looking forward to my stay. Unfortunately the night before I left, I received notice from my daughters school that there was a COVID outbreak and many staff and children tested positive. As a result the school has closed it's doors for the entire week, and possibly longer. I had come down with a sickness, so took an at home test this morning, which I tested positive for. I forwarded the email notice from the school, as well as my positive test results to the hotel thinking this would be a pretty easy/simple cancellation with refund even though it was same day.

Unfortunately they require a doctors ordered positive test to do a refund. In my area, there are no available appointments until after my trip would be over, so I made the decision to stay home and risk my entire refund on the hopes that an unreliable doctor ordered PCR test comes back positive a few days from now. I spoke with the owner and she stated that some people are taking advantage of the COVID situation, which is why they are so strict. I get it, but a couple bad apples shouldn't mean you need to ruin the whole farm.

I provided more than enough documentation to prove that my travel would put others at risk. However the policies in place put me in a very difficult position; Should stay home and possibly lose all my money, even though that is clearly the right thing to do? Or should I just go on the trip, put everyone in the hotel at risk of COVID exposure but at least know that I was going to get what I paid for? Well, I have to say that my stay in this place was not pleasant. However, the experience was one on a different plane of spirituality which I didn't realize I was going to be experiencing. It's some things that can't necessarily be explained in any reasonable way, but I was experiencing some fears and vulnerabilities that I didn't understand. I've been spending a great amount of energy over the last year really breaking away from conformity and controlled thinking, and so I think it was coming from that. Either way, I've been researching the meaning of the symbolism within the artful manner with which this building is designed. Not gonna lie, on the surface it freaked me out. However, my research has shown great correlations of the symbolisms and totems in this place with the different thoughts and dreams I had while staying here. The realizations are profound. There are things I needed to understand and learn in my path to becoming a shaman, and this place provided that learning. The building itself has some flaws, but the art design has been thoughtfully produced in a way that is conducive to the integration of thoughtful reasoning for the individual. I feel like I overcame some deep psychological barriers which were keeping me from fully experiencing new things which I wish to experience. I don't know if this all stands to have any merit in the eyes of the average consumer, but for those seeking a deeper understanding of nature and of life, pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, dreams, and judgements while you are here. I was extremely disappointed with the white cloud suite I paid a premium price for during my recent stay. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed long strands of hair scattered throughout the space on the floor, and mainly the couch/pullout bed. It was not only unsightly but also extremely unsanitary.

To make matters worse, my son, who was playing with his toys on the floor, couch, and chairs was constantly covered in these stray hairs every time I checked on him. It was a frustrating and unsettling experience, especially considering the amount of money I had spent for a supposedly luxurious accommodation.

In the past this has not been the experience so I'm not sure what has changed from then to now. I have stayed in the baldy eagle many times previously without problem.

Overall, the room was not up to the standards I expected for the price I paid. It was a major disappointment and tarnished my overall experience at the hotel. I believe that cleanliness and hygiene should be a top priority for any establishment, especially when guests are paying a premium rate for their stay.

I sent this message to the “review your stay” text which most likely goes to the front desk and they replied “ I am so sorry, I will pass this on to management.” however when I called the same day after checkout there was not a manager on shift.
