Stayed here for a work trip that was supposed to be 2 nights, got notified after the first day that I’m supposed to switch rooms/hotels and that the hotel has packed up my belongings while I was at work - which is bewildering, apparently room changes has been happening to other members of the production crew previous to my stay without warning to them personally. While I don’t know what the issue is between whether it’s the hotel or the production crew who made the booking, the hotel was still EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude in dealing with this. I wanted to know why I wasn’t made aware of this at the beginning of my stay to the front desk clerk when I came to pick up my belongings, and some lady comes out from the back office being all confrontational from the get go and victim blaming right away, saying I signed the sign in that said it was for one night only and that it’s “my” company’s fault and they didn’t do anything to help (umm what?) I was just confused to be honest, I’m just a contractor coming in for this job and all I know is that I was told this is the hotel I’m staying at, and that when I checked in, the front desk did NOT ask the usual “we have you here for — days?” question that normally is asked, they just checked me in and told me to sign here and there without thinking much. I don’t care what the situation is, but I’m a guest and should not be talked to in this way. This lady even made a snide remark “well that’s nice of them” when the front desk clerk asked if I still wanted the food that was in my fridge, since again, they had cleared out the room without my knowledge while I was at work. Wow, is it going above and beyond to return ALL belongings that were in the room to someone who has just been blindsided by such a situation? Basically she was blaming me that I should have known just because she liaised with this company, but they should have let the actual guests that were affected by this know at the beginning of their stay if this was a prearranged anomalous situation. Given there were also others who had their belongings moved to without their knowledge on this job, I would think not. The professional conduct would have been to let the individual guests involved to know of any irregular arrangements at check in, and not behaving in the way this lady has conducted herself towards me. To this day, this has been the worst interaction I’ve had with hotel personnel. I thought this was the hospitality business? Truly terrible attitude...
Read more02/09/22 After a 12 hour day, working outside, digging trenches, in February, we were ready to warm up and relax. The woman who checked us in while pleasant in tone, said some incredibly rude things to us. We use high pressure water and suction to dig where machines aren’t allowed. We get dirty and we were dirty during check in. She made us promise to not sit on any of the furniture until we had cleaned up. Then, in a polite tone, let us know that we were welcome to stay somewhere else. The last thing I wanted to do was search for somewhere else to stay. I know from experience that check in clerks are allowed to refuse service if they feel a guest will be a problem. I understood that if I would voiced my objections to her being so callous and assumptive that we would be denied a room. So I was pleasant and agreed to not get the room dirty mostly because I’m not an animal and I respect others and their property. I was informed that I needed to provide a credit card for incidentals. This is normal at most hotels. What most hotels do is take the cc information just in case long distance calls are made or the room is damaged. What this best western did was immediately place a $50.00 charge on my card. The only thing I liked about our room was the comfy bed. Other than that, the bed frame made it difficult to sleep because of the headboard. The toilet was incredibly short. The tub was also really small. In the morning we searched for a little breakfast to start our day. This hotel doesn’t provide anything but coffee, I’d like to point out that a stay will cost $200.00 per night. Seems expensive for not even a bowl of cereal. All in all I have a choice when choosing where to stay. In the future, I will choose to stay somewhere else that isn’t a...
Read moreWe are scheduled to arrive in a few weeks for a girls vacay… but not anymore. After reading several reviews(I’m the weird girl that checks reviews like a hawk for reasons like this!) from the past few days we will be cancelling and going else where. How on earth can you justify not allowing a cancellation due to Covid?! Imagine the next person that occupies after them.. they could be elderly, have a compromised immune system and you just exposed them or possibly could kill them because you, as a multi million dollar company, cannot stand to lose a few hundred dollars?! No thank you, we will go else where. ✌🏻
Response to the owner: First and foremost the reservation was in fact not under my name so it would make sense as to why you did not see me in your system, second you say that you didn’t have a reservation under me or any of my friends which is odd to me because how on earth would you know who my friends are? That’s weird behavior and extremely unprofessional to accuse someone, whom you do not know, of any wrong doing. When the girls and I made the decision to cancel it was in fact due to several reviews made here, including that of Mr. Capener. I do not know nor am I friends with this man but I wish I were, he saved us hundreds of dollars and warned not only us, but anyone else who reads reviews here, about your unprofessionalism and lack of customer service. So Kyle, if you see this, thanks a million. You’re the real MVP here. To anyone else that reads this please please please find a new hotel. You’ll be much better off. Have a...
