If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I had the WORST experience with Key Largo Inn and Melody (receptionist) and the kicker is we didn’t even get to stay there. My boyfriend and I drove up for a weekend getaway. We were going to arrive late so he called and asked if that would be okay. Melody’s response was yes that’s fine. In the initial reservation we were not told there was a cut off time to check in, but he called to be safe just incase. We arrive around 10:40pm and the place is closed. We called the emergency hotline and they mentioned they closed. We let them know we called and we have nowhere to stay, and Melody told us to come anytime. So we spent the entire night driving around to try and find somewhere else to stay. We basically had to drive an hour back to find a place. We billed the reservation for the weekend, so we figured, let’s go there Saturday - Sunday! Nope, but we’re we wrong. We went to check in on Saturday and Melody again, with an attitude told us they gave away our reservation since we were a “no call no show”. We ended up driving back home Saturday night. She never mentioned a refund and my boyfriend asked about it. She basically wanted us to pay for a place we didn’t stay in at all. She also mentioned as we are walking out, “you’re not going to get your money back for Friday”. When we tried to rectify this with the company we booked through, she lied and said she was there until 11:30pm on Friday night. What a ridiculous statement to make considering we called the emergency hotline around 10:40pm, on a recorded line. Moral of the story, NEVER STAY HERE. They do not care about you, they don’t offer refunds unless you fight them (even if you don’t stay there) they’ll also sell your Room the minute something happens. Read moreI can’t tell you much about the inside of the hotel except for the lobby area. Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience, but thankfully, the hotel did come through with the refund that they promised. I will give them kudos for that even though it took them a month instead of the promised 5 to 7 business days, but they did get us a refund so that’s what’s important. |Our experience went as such. We almost missed the hotel due to its location and the amount of traffic right outside of the hotel. We did finally make a U-turn and come back to find it and parked, we went into the lobby area. While walking to the lobby area, we did notice that things did not match up to some of the photos online. That is the photos by the hotel. This hotel needs some tender loving care. When we did enter the lobby area we noticed that it appeared to be maybe under construction. And that there was no offerings in the lobby as pictured such as Snacks, drinks, bar, etc. There was a loveseat covered with a blanket and torn up walls. There was a tour guide bulletin holder. We walk up to the counter and we are immediately greeted by the lady with “do you smoke? “wellhello and yes, we are smokers. We explained that we knew there were non-smoking rooms and that we would not smoke in the rooms. She said you will not be happy here you need to go somewhere else. We were a bit confused. she pointed to the loveseat and said do you see the gentleman on the couch, he is looking for another place to stay because his party smokes as well. She said we are a non-smoking hotel. Again we were confused and explain we would not smoke in the hotel and she said it does not matter. Do you want to refund. So we accepted and here we are. Read moreVERY DISAPOINTED!! To begin our experience with this AWFUL hotel, we had stayed the night Friday night and the room was dirty and the toilet was broken. Then Saturday after just come in from a 7 hour jet ski ride with a LARGE group of people who we could have refered this business to we had came back to the hotel. As we pulled in and began to park a man (who we believe to be the owner) approached us in an unprofessional manner saying how we were not on the reservation so why were we parking in the parking lot! So as we informed him that we did in fact have a reservation he began to rudely tell us that there were 2 rooms and 5 guests so we would not be able to stay the night because their two bedded rooms were only for 2 guests each! As we were asking the reasoning and explained that the website hadn’t informed us when we booked, instead of offering a resolution he shrugged his shoulders and was completely unapologetic. Very upset, one of our members told him it was ridiculous and the man RAISED HIS FINGER, completely invaded our friend’s personal space and stuck his finger in his face saying we could not stay there!!! What kind of money hungry, disgusting, unprofessional business this is!! NEVER go here. LUCKILY Across the street the bayside inn was very helpful in providing a last minute room! You can‘t trust this hotel!

We were treated very unfairly and the owner was highly unprofessional by the way he acted. The fact you can respond to a review saying we lied and its bogus when that was in fact the truth just shows how poorly this place Run! Your reviews speak...
