Aligning with low star reviews, the girl at the shop were rude and not helpful. Initially I had a bad experience and lots of miscommunications. But manager Brian did clear things up afterwards. He fixed the wrongs and saw things from our prospective, so they are good overall. However, if you are a serious experienced diver that doesn't get sea sick and can dive 4-6 foot waves without complain, you should avoid this place. They are serious about safety, so they cancel trips quite often (too often for me). There are other shops like Islamorada Dive Center that never cancel trips even in bad conditions like 4-6 foot high waves and strong currents (they will still refund you if you don't wanna go). For a more experienced diver, I will prefer this kind of shop who always give you an option. [Original post:] For the 1pm trip, the girl over the phone told us to arrive at 11:15am or 11:30pm by the latest for checking in. So we arrived at 11:15am June 24th and finished checking in in five minutes. We had nothing else to do, so we waited and waited for the boat check-in time at 12:45pm. UNLUCKILY, the boat had mechanical issue. Okay as a dive master worked in other shops before, I do understand this and it's unpreventable. We left the boat at 2pm feeling unsatisfied and a day wasted. I went back to the shop. We got refund for 06/24/2021 trip without any problem. Because of bad experience so far, I wanted to cancel my 06/25/2021 trip additionally. But the girl at shop simply kept reiterating the cancellation policy without caring our point of view. It seemed to them my day, time, and vacation worth nothing. I got angry instead of simply unsatisfied. Then I went straight to the manager Jeremy on the dock. He did a great job correcting the miscommunication. DIVERS YOU CAN CHECK IN EARLY such as a day earlier, so you just need to be on dock by 12:45pm to onboard. Or you can check in as late as 12:15pm if you are doing morning dives with other shops. Just make sure you have enough time to pick up your rental gears and not delay boat departure. THEY ARE ACCOMMODATIVE. If you have a bad service, just talk to other crew members instead. [Update1:] Brian called me afterwards today. He did clear things up further. I will give them a second shot tomorrow. Will update afterwards. [Update2:] The afternoon trip got cancelled because of high waves and I got fully refunded. Nonetheless, this time, I planned a morning dive with Islamorada Dive Center. High waves 4-5 feet and super strong current. Shop told me the condition and checked again over again to make sure I were fully aware of that. Half of divers decided not to dive but the other half still had the chance to go. The condition was okay for me as a more experienced dive master.

Dive Into Adventure with Sea Dwellers - An Unforgettable 12 Dive Experience! Sea Dwellers Dive Center surpassed all expectations during our 12 incredible dives. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was both exhilarating and safe. Ashley's extensive knowledge and flexibility in accommodating our needs set the tone our upcoming adventures. She truly made the entire process from first dive to closing out seamless. Captains Russell and Brad not only expertly navigated us to diverse and breathtaking locations each day but provided invaluable information on each stop. Their recommended routes allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the underwater world and make the most of every dive and giving tips that allowed us to get back to the boat with ease. A special shoutout to our hometown guide, Leslie, for her keen eye and ability to point out a variety of marine life we may have otherwise missed. Her enthusiasm and passion for diving were infectious and made each dive with her an absolute pleasure. Korey's expertise as both a first mate and guide was instrumental in preparing us for our solo dives. His ability to balance safety with excitement made for an exhilarating introduction to the ocean when currents were challenging. Nate and Will were phenomenal first mates who frequently doubled as our personal hype men, making each dive all the more memorable and fun. Their infectious energy kept spirits high throughout our time at Sea Dwellers. We frequently laughed while these two were on board. Finally, a huge thank you to Tony, whose commitment to safety and expertise as a dive master ensured we felt secure and comfortable during every dive. He helped us fine-tune some challenges we faced as new divers. Every member of the Sea Dwellers team played an essential role in making our experience so extraordinary. Their warmth, knowledge, and commitment to providing a safe yet thrilling adventure have left us eager to return for more incredible dives. If you're looking for a dive center that combines top-notch expertise, impeccable safety standards, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, look no further than Sea Dwellers. We can't recommend them highly enough and look forward to bringing the rest of the fam down for more dives!

I recently had an unforgettable experience with Sea Dwellers and I can’t recommend them highly enough! From the moment I booked my dive, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. They provided thorough pre-dive briefings, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and well-prepared for the underwater adventure. The equipment provided was top-notch, well-maintained, and suited for divers of all levels. Our dive guide, Tony, was exceptional—knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about marine life. LOVE Tony! He took the time to point out fascinating fish and share insights about the local ecosystems, making the experience even more enriching. The dive sites we visited were absolutely breathtaking, showcasing vibrant coral reefs and an abundance of marine life. I felt safe and supported throughout the entire experience, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the beauty of the underwater world. What truly stood out was the company’s commitment to safety. They prioritize sustainable practices, which made me feel good about my choice to dive with them. Overall, my experience with Sea Dwellers was nothing short of spectacular. I left with a newfound love for scuba diving and can’t wait to return for more dives in the future. If you're looking for a fantastic diving experience, look no further—this is the company to choose! Five stars all the way! Tony was seriously the best! Shout out to Doc and captain Russel also. Thanks guys!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience learning to dive with Sea Dwellers and our awesome instructor, Brandon Marschall! Rather than telling me I shouldn’t be scared, Brandon helped show me that I didn’t need to be. That first dive, getting situated in the water, and beginning the descent with all the swells and adrenaline, was truly overwhelming for me. I resurfaced, thinking I may need to return to the boat, fear fueling self-doubt. Brandon was full of compassion for what I was feeling and didn’t leave my side. My boundaries were respected, and I never felt pushed past them. Instead, he helped guide me through the mental barriers, giving me a powerful sense of calm as he stared deep into my eyes, monitoring me for any signs of panic as we went down – together. Once at the bottom, things were so much calmer, and he continued to keep a close watch over me as we repeated our underwater skill drills. I needed that attentiveness to bolster my confidence, and it made all the difference that I never felt alone or on my own. I am so grateful to him for saving my aspirations, because my diving career would’ve ended before it even started, if not for him. I would’ve missed out on so much marine majesty and many memories yet to be made. Thinking of giving diving a shot? Do it! If you’re nervous, you just need to get through that first day, and Brandon can help you make it happen! The whole Sea Dwellers team was top notch, making our trip absolutely enjoyable. Captain Brad was a riot, full of jokes and wisdom, like his “ear beer” concoction! First Mate Nate and another instructor, Will, were also lots of fun, rounding out a lively bunch. It was quite literally a boatful of laughs. We...
