The worst stay at any hotel I've ever stayed in! I will never recommend this property or Wyndham to anyone ever. That is saying a lot because we travel quite frequently and work in hotels. 1) You were greeted by a person on a computer which was confusing and alarming. They were also not very helpful. 2) We should have received service in our room at least once during our stay. Our room was NEVER serviced, not even once. We went down to the front desk on 4 different occasions and asked for full service in the room, it never happened. 3) We had to go down to the front desk for everything we needed because nobody from housekeeping would help us, even when asked. It was so difficult just to get toilet paper which we had run out of! It would be nice to be clean. 4)Anytime I attempted to interact with a front desk agent they were usually hiding and you couldn't tell they were there. 5) Our room was HEAVILY infested with multiple roaches and spiders EVERYWHERE! There was a PILE of dead roaches in the corner of the room. When we tried to sit in the balcony (which we paid EXTRA for) roaches and huge spiders would crawl over you. What is the point of paying for an upgrade when you can't enjoy it due to an extreme infestation. 6) I complained to the front desk about the roaches and other insects in and out of our room and nothing was done. 7) There was a huge leak right in front of our room in the hallway. It was there the entire stay and they Jerry rigged a few wet floor signs in the ceiling with buckets to collect the water. However it didn't work and water was everywhere. It smelled disgusting and was bothersome to hear all 6 days and nights. 8) I asked to check out early and go to another hotel because it was disgusting and was told by the front desk and the person on the computer terminal that the only person who can help and make sure I get refunded for the remaining part of my stay. The manager was NOWHERE to be found out entire stay. Where the hell was she? I asked multiple times to speak with her and for her to reach out to me via phone and was told both by the front desk and the person on the computer terminal that they would reach out to me within 24 hours. They never reached out or contact me even after multiple attempts. 9) I have pictures and videos of all of my experience which I'd be happy to share with you. 10) I expect at this point to be compensated in some respect and to actually be able to speak with someone regarding my stay. PLEASE reach out to me!

I was extremely impressed by our vacation. My husband and I finally got our honeymoon after three years. We know next time that this would be the perfect place to bring our pups. The bottom floor is set up for pets and you can get poolside, it has its own private gated balcony with patio to go in and out from your own room.that way you never leave your babies. The rooms were clean and nicely made. Patio/balcony nice and organized. Internet cuts out on fourth floor on balcony though. My husband took his xbox and didn't have any issues with playing online games (call of duty and h*** let lose). The pool was well maintained and no rowdy folk. The beach was very easy to get too. Has public parking across the street for beachgoers and if you need to keep belongings closer and not run to hotel. Outer banks brewery only two minutes away featured ( on diners, drives and dives.) Once on the beach it was close to a children's beach play stream to keep them away from the current but yet enjoy the ocean safely. The staff was nice and Ms Paula was very warm and welcoming, made sure our stay was issue free and answered all my concerns. The fire alarm went off twice, from folk wanting to use stairs not reading the sign on the door. Ocean front view was wonderful and enjoyed hearing the waves crash before the day started from the balcony. Could even stretch out on bed to see it. Cant wait to return. *🛁*🛏*🧺To the housekeepers men/women. Thank you for all you do and the hard work you invest in each room. You all are truly appreciated!!*🧹*🧹*🧽

I recently stayed at this hotel and want to give an honest review. I’ve definitely stayed at worse hotels, and there are some positives here. The location is great, the walk to the ocean is short and very convenient. The rooms and the pool were both clean, and the pool was probably the best part of the stay. Most of the front desk staff were very sweet and accommodating, with the exception of one gentleman at check-in who seemed tired or like he didn’t want to be there. That said, the hotel really needs major maintenance and some updates. The bathroom especially needs remodeling, the shower sprayed water through the curtain, leaving the floor soaked, and the shower faucet wasn’t fully attached to the wall. The elevators also felt a bit sketchy and could use some maintenance to run more smoothly. There are also a few amenities missing for the price point. There’s no breakfast offered, which was disappointing, and no laundry facility available for guests. I used points for one of my nights (30,000 points), and while the proximity to the ocean is nice, the overall experience didn’t feel worth that many points considering the lack of amenities and upkeep. On the night I paid for my stay, I only received 2,142 points, which felt low given that a redemption costs 30,000 points. Overall, the hotel wasn’t completely bad, but it definitely needs some improvements. The staff (aside from one) were lovely, and the location is fantastic, but better maintenance and amenities would make this hotel worth the price and points.

I quickly booked a Friday night for my husband and I away from our 8 kids. I later added Thursday night. The photos do not accurately represent the property at all. I was just looking for fast and decent but it was very run down. The Wed. before our trip I called Travelodge-spoke to a female, asked her if she could combine the bookings...I thought I might have booked 2 different rooms. If NOT, totally fine, it was my doing. She said she could do it-we were all set to be in 405. We arrived Thursday and Abel checked us in...he didn't see where the bookings were combined. So again-I asked if he could do it. He said YES in room 406 and we could just stay all of Friday, not check out and back in, etc. The bathroom was a little grimy, the shower dripped nonstop, the room stayed hot unless you were up against the AC unit. Friday morning we were ready to walk to the beach-it's a hike-not close by and the rooms that have a "partial ocean view" are a joke. I stopped by the front desk to again to verify the stay. Gulistan or Gulsten-a female worker at the front desk said, you are only booked for 1 night and then in a different room for tonight. I told her about the call and Abel...2 workers fixing it for us. She rudely looked at me like I was crazy and her answer was "what do you want me to do?" Oh and why are you mad at me?-"well I didn't do this." I did tell her that her customer service skills were horrible but in a more descriptive way. She didn't once say SORRY for this miscommunication or misunderstanding or ask what she could do to help the situation, she didn't offer to call a manager. We went back to the room and packed up, turned in the cards and walked away. She yelled out for me..."M'am???" asking if I was checking out-the exact thing she JUST said we had to do and return at 4 to check into another room. The professional thing to do would have been to let me walk away and not instigate ANOTHER conversation where she still wasn't planning being helpful. We went back and forth and I finally walked away again. We did NOT return although we paid for the night. We went to The Comfort Inn and were treated...

I booked this hotel for two of my female employees to stay at while supporting one of our businesses in Southern Shores.

Upon checking into the hotel, our employees observed mildew in the bathroom in tub and around the base of the toilet, filthy surfaces and carpets, peeling patches of paint, water stained ceiling patches, and hair (including pubic hair) in the sheets in the bed.

The room was gross. The hotel lobby and rooms did not match the photos from the website and our employees were not comfortable staying there given the conditions. The rooms were being cleaned by adults with their young children who were handling the bedding, toiletries and towels, etc., with ungloved hands, balancing them on their heads and tossing them onto the floor etc… not a clean practice and wildly unprofessional.

My employees expressed to the onsite attendant that they weren’t comfortable staying, turned in their keys and left, after being told multiple times, the room for the entire week would not be refunded.

While I personally might’ve toughed it out given the heavy expense of booking an entirely new reservation for a week during the summer here, I couldn’t possibly ask these young women that work for me to do that, so we booked a nice last-minute Airbnb…

I filed a complaint with Priceline, attempted to reach the hotel general manager multiple times but to no avail. No returned calls or voicemails. So, our business had to pay the bill for two lodgings for the entire week smh.

Very frustrating as a small business owner in Outer Banks to be treated this way by another local business. The attendant at the hotel was obviously frustrated because there were a line of people with varying complaints about the accommodations at the same time our team was trying to check out.

I’d be very cautious about...
