This is a fascinating place. I really enjoyed the museum and learning some facts that I never knew before. $10 for regular admission. There is a really cool replica of the first plane inside of the museum. It was really exciting to stand outside on the airfield where the first flight in the world took place. Then there is a monument that you can walk to, it is a bit of a walk but it was good exercise and fun. Beware of the cactus. There are lots of signs that tell you to stay on the path in order to avoid cactus but I noticed an employee kept driving a “side by side” in the grass and then onto the paved walkways. This displaced small pieces of cactus onto the sidewalk so be very careful, both my wife and I got pieces stuck to our shoes (and we were walking on the sidewalk). I am glad...
Read moreThe museum was very nice. The place was extremely packed, with individuals moving in all directions, making it challenging to observe and comprehend the descriptions. Consider adding directional arrows inside to prevent people from bumping into each other and to help guests enjoy the displays. We walked up to the Monument, and it felt like a hike in the hot sun. I saw once we were up that way that there was an additional parking lot up there. The monument was closed to viewers, preventing anyone from going inside or up. Anyway, it's a nice site, well kept, and if you're a flight fan, it's definitely worth checking out.
