Cypress House Inn is a charming, full of character and quaint beach bed and breakfast. This is an 8-room bed and breakfast in a converted hunting and fishing lodge. The owners and their family are the only staff which really added to the charm of this inn. The owners clearly care about their inn and it is well taken care of. Location is great. You are literally across the street from beach access. Easily walkable or short drive to area restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had character. Bathrooms are modern and updated. The breakfast is amazing. The owner, Bill, cooked wonderful breakfasts and varied each day. Think of grandma’s cooking but with a smidge of refinement. Talking with Bill you can tell how much pride he puts into the inn. To me that really speaks volumes. He is also a very proud grandfather and he lights up talking about his grandkids. If you are looking for charm, character and wholesome staff then book here. Bonus they have a very loving but chill dog named Sassy.

I can't imagine staying anywhere else if I were to head back to the Outer Banks again. This B & B was the homiest, loveliest, most relaxing place to stay! A friend and I stayed in their loft space, and I cannot think of a single complaint I had with the experience. Cypress House was super clean, updated, and provided fresh and delicious homemade breakfasts that were above and beyond my expectations. The hosts were incredible—knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. They provided all the gear we needed (chairs, umbrellas, and towels) for the beach, which was about a minute's walk away from the front door. Overall, one of the best places I have ever stayed. I truly can't wait to come back.

Wow. Just wow. The history of this house is super impressive, but Bill and Veda are exceptional innkeepers. Wonderfully updated baths - especially in a historic building. The bed and linens were very comfortable and clean. They have a 100% sanitation score, so please don’t head the bad review that was left. Bill prepared an excellent breakfast each morning with homemade items like blueberry pancakes, muffins, and French toast. The front porch is a lovely place to read on a rainy day. Beach access is directly across the street and the inn provides beach towels and chairs. Truly enjoyed the stay and hope to return soon.

Wonderful stay at this lovely Inn. Breakfast included and accommodated dietary needs made known in advance. Free access to their bikes (2 in great condition), beach chairs, towels, umbrellas! Large outdoor backyard space we used for yoga and relaxation. the porch with tables, chairs, and rocking chairs was very relaxing and good place to eat breakfast and bring in food for lunch or dinner. Close to the Wright Bros museum (we biked there) and across the beach road to the beach public access. the host, Bill, was exceptional - organized, kind, accommodating, smart, personable, and ran the house like a tight platoon (he is ex military)! Beds are so comfortable and a great shower! the walls are rather thin, but the guests are respectful of being quiet. Rooms are on the second floor, easy wide staircase access. Available on the second floor right outside your room is water (filtered), and coffee/tea kurig maker with available cups, spoons, sugar, etc. They thought of everything! Highly recommend...

At first, I had a problem with communication with this B&B. After we resolved that issue, we booked it for our Honey Moon. We were beyond happy with this Bed & Breakfast. Bill & Veda were fantastic. Bill greeted us kindly every time we saw them. They took turns making breakfast each morning and it was delicious every single time. I liked that they made different things each morning. It always started with fruit and then the second course would be a meat and either pancakes, muffin with eggs, and then French toast! They left out cookies in the afternoon for us. One of the nights we left our key in the room. We texted them and Bill responded right away and come out and let us in. We felt so bad but they both assured us it was no problem. Bill referred us to a yummy restaurant near by. They provided us with towels and beach chairs. Our room was cleaned every day to perfection. The place was just perfect. We will definitely be coming back for our...
