My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel. We were leary of staying there because of the proximity to railroad tracks but since the trains aren't near crossings, there were no blaring horns and we could barely hear them so that was never a problem. For a budget priced hotel, we were pleasantly surprised as we typically feel you get what you pay for. We could tell that a lot of thought went in to making the rooms nice. Upscale furniture, spotlessly clean, and very orderly. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is because of two main issues, possibly a third. The first is the door slamming! We know this isn't the hotel staff's fault, but something can be done about it. The guests adjacent to our rooms think nothing of slamming their doors at 2:30 AM! It shakes the walls, jolts you awake, and is just rude and inconsiderate of other people. This is a problem in most hotels, and some places we've stayed in have resolved the problem by either installing spring-resisting hinges so the doors don't slam. We stayed two nights and the door slamming of all the other rooms really got to us at 6 AM--and don't try sleeping in; we couldn't. If the budget doesn't allow for this, putting small reminder signs next to the interior door jambs to remind guests to NOT slam their doors would be helpful at less cost. Second, since all the rooms exit to a concrete walkway, the service carts rolling past the doors every morning sound exactly like a railroad car--the seams in the cement make those noisy carts sound like a freight train outside your door--CLACK-CLACK, CLACK-CLACK! Those carts are loud outside your door. I looked at the carts and changing the wheels won't help unless they're interchangeable, but using cement gap filler on those seams in front of all the doors would probably resolve about 75% of the problem. The third issue was a problem for other guests besides us. The "Do Not Disturb" signs we all hang on the outside door knob are caught by the wind and flap around. Twice we thought someone was tapping at our door; it was the sign hitting the door in the wind, so like other guests, we wedged it in the aluminum door plate. If those three things were resolved, we'd heartily give this place 5 starts. That said, we really liked the spacious showers, VERY comfortable beds, and the soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower are brilliant. We hope to come back and really would prefer to come there again and do recommend it. Hopefully, those noise issues can be resolved before...
Read moreIf your passing thru Kingman or it's the destination, Best Western King's Inn is the absolute best! My husband and I spent a whopping 35 days here, due to a truck accident.. The front desk personnel were incredibly helpful. We learned nearby points of interest, some within walking distance, some by bus, or even by using one of their bikes! Breakfast; we were so happy to learn that even as Covid winds down a little, this location serves a beautiful hot breakfast. They have the creative freedom to prepare a wide variety of items. Plus, they have a small fridge, and stock raw veggies or salads that guests can take. In the evenings, they have a good selection of items for purchase from the front desk. The beautiful people that work the dining area became family for us. Many mornings we laughed, told stories from long ago, and the time spent together was truly precious. Rooms; their rooms are spacious and comfortable. With a small fridge and microwave. Laundry room; machines are clean and in perfect working order. Hot tub; if the temp hit at least 60°, I hit the hot tub. This was a special treat for me and I enjoyed every second. Everything was super clean and very well taken care of. Overall, this was one of the best experiences, and the friendships we made will never be forgotten.. Thank you all for what you do and how you made us feel. Honorable mention to the following for their outstanding workmanship and professionalism. Donna, Heart of gold, creative Mary, so friendly and sweet Jenna, a laugh I'll never forget Cynthia, French vanilla coffee! Gabriella/Gaby, such a help! Read moreUPDATE July 2024 Another visit. I called the hotel directly to make the reservation. The rate for the room was beyond competitive. I was stunned when I heard the discounted rate for govt/military. (I'm a veteran)
The first room we were assigned to (124) had a funky/musty smell. Other than that, the room was clean and well-presented. (the refrigerators are very small)
I talked to Autumn about the room. She was apologetic, and she quickly assigned us to a room that had been renovated in the past year (?). It was much nicer, and slightly larger. Autumn allowed me to put a few small items in the freezer by the front desk.
The breakfast in the morning was excellent. The 2 staff members were keeping everything stocked and clean. They, too, were super polite.
Close to I-40. There are train tracks close by, but noise was minimal. Plenty of parking. It's a hotel, but the staff made it a great place to stay. The site manager should throw them a party for being amazing people and great employees. You can't go wrong staying here. 4 stars for the rooms: I held back because they have yet to renovate some of the rooms. 5+ stars for the breakfast The friendly, hard working staff receives a galaxy of stars!
WATER MATTERS. (July 2023) At least to some people.
Smooth, quick check-in. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. I woke up early to take a shower. Water pressure was fine...for about two minutes. Then it dropped to about half of what it was when I started. 30 seconds later, the shower head output reduced to a trickle. Then it stopped. The tub faucet was putting out enough water so I could cup my hands and get enough water to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. I then checked the sink. Zero water. Nothing. Unreal. I ended up splashing my face with bottled water to shave. Definitely an...
