I called the hotel and made my reservation over the phone on Tuesday, May 18. The reservation was for two adjacent rooms, one room with a king bed and the other with two queen beds. I was very specific about this and the reservation was taken as requested. As we were traveling with five small children, we were looking forward to this arrangement. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in, we were given two separate rooms that were not adjacent. When I told the front desk clerk what our reservation was supposed to be for, he told me that the three adjacent rooms in the hotel were already booked and he couldn't get us two adjacent rooms. We ended up canceling one room because it wasn't adjacent and sleeping all seven of us, a baby included, in the one room. I am not sure what happened but I was not happy.
When taking out the bedding to place on the couch and the trundle bed, we found multiple long black hairs on the blanket.
The armrest of the couch had something (food or drink) that had been spilled and not cleaned. We notified the front-desk clerk about it, who then came to our room and cleaned the couch himself. He even remarked how unclean the couch was and suggested we call about getting a discount on the room.
We also found hair on the wash cloth in the bathroom and on the baby blanket that was given to us to put in the baby pack 'n' play.
In addition, I asked to speak with the manager both days we were there but she was unavailable each time. So I sent her an email using the address on her business card from the front desk on the day we got home. Four days later, I still have not heard back from her. This is very disappointing, especially since we have stayed at this particular Springhill Suites two or three times in the past, always had a pleasant experience, and I am a Bonvoy member. All in all, a very disappointing experience...
Read moreWe had to spend the night in Kingman, unexpectedly because of weather, and what a great night and experience it all turned out to be. We have never stayed in the Springhill line because it's usually more expensive, but the price was just a little higher than the other highly reviewed hotels in the area, so went for it. The hotel is beautiful and I'm still surprised about the renovation that's happening soon, but excited for the changes. The staff was so kind and friendly, especially the night manager that checked us in! We loved the options in the market and we're pleased to see that at 9:30pm, we could buy dinner that was quick and just right without spending crazy prices like at other hotels! The staff even got us some milk for our daughter! Our room was great and well designed. We chose Springhill because of the structure of the room. Having the divided wall and a TV that turns toward the couch is so helpful for parents with young children who go to bed much earlier than they do. The beds were comfy and clean. The room was quiet and had a beautiful view of the mountains. We also noticed how clean the hotel smelled. So many hotels have over powering smells, which aggravates my husband's lungs, so noticed how clean and fresh the air felt! Breakfast was decent, we loved that they had Nutella. But, they definitely could improve, since the breakfasts at hotels like low end quality inns are pretty much identical (but it's included in your stay, so thumbs up). I would expect something more like the Hyatt skillet breakfast out of a Springhill hotel. Check out was a breeze and we wish we could have stayed longer!! If we need to stay in Kingman again, this will be our first choice hotel, as long as the prices stay this great! Thanks again for the great service, my daughter is still talking about...
Read moreThe Springhill Suites Kingman, located on Route 66, presents significant concerns regarding both honesty and service quality. During my stay, I encountered multiple issues that suggest serious problems with staff communication and property management.||Most troubling was the staff's misrepresentation of amenities - I was explicitly told by front desk staff that the indoor pool was open, only to find it closed. This kind of misinformation is particularly frustrating for travelers who may have chosen the property specifically for this amenity, especially those traveling with children.||The cleanliness issues were equally concerning. Upon moving an ottoman in the room, I discovered a large red stain and crumbs underneath, indicating subpar housekeeping standards. When brought to the front desk's attention, the response was disturbingly casual - merely a dismissive "I'll just let my manager know" with no attempt to address the issue or apologize for the oversight.||These experiences point to broader issues with staff training, management oversight, and service standards. While the property benefits from a convenient location along Route 66 and offers the standard Springhill Suites room layout, these advantages are significantly undermined by:|- Misrepresentation of available amenities|- Substandard cleanliness|- Poor staff response to guest concerns||For travelers considering this property, I would strongly recommend confirming the status of any desired amenities directly with management and carefully inspecting rooms upon check-in. Better yet, consider alternative accommodations in the Kingman area until this property demonstrates meaningful improvements in both housekeeping and guest...
