We stayed here to go to Disney and attend a wedding nearby.
I ultimately chose to stay here because of the very good rate and the fact that they offer a free shuttle service to Disney and other theme parks. We flew into Orlando and decided not to rent a car because of the free shuttle. We took public transit most of the way but ended up having to call a Lyft because the hotel is at the very end of this strip of hotels and resorts. The bus will only drop you off right in front of the entrance of this strip. You could probably walk from the bus stop to the hotel if you don't mind a long walk but we had a lot of luggage.
The front desk was really great upon checking in. There was a resort fee of about $35 that wasn't mentioned when I booked through Agoda but the total with the fee was still more than reasonable.
When we got in the room it definitely wasn't 100% spotless. The bedsheets had some mystery stains with some hair and there was rust on the lamps/outlets and ironing board. The drawer under the TV was also broken and didn't pull out properly. However they were quick to fix the bedsheet problem and we weren't planning on being in the room much so we didn't bring up the rust. Other than that the room was pretty clean. There were absolutely no signs of bugs or anything which we liked.
The TV is pretty good. I believe it's a 4K smart TV. I like that they don't have those hotel TV boxes attached to it, it's just a standard smart TV. There was even complimentary Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus included. You could even use the HDMI ports to bring your own devices like a gaming system or laptop. The only bad thing was the actual TV channels. For some reason the channel quality was very poor. It seems like it was being broadcast in a much lower resolution that the TV. We just used streaming during our stay and had no issues with the quality.
For other stuff to do there's a pool and a gym. The gym is pretty small and basic and doesn't have much equipment. During our stay nobody was using it so I had it all to myself when working out. The pool is pretty spacious and was very clean. Again, there was nobody using it so we had it to ourselves.
Breakfast was just ok, but I think it's in line with the rate we paid. There are hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage, and pancakes but they all tasted like they were frozen and just reheated. Again there is nothing wrong with this, I just know some other guests seemed a bit upset because they had different expectations for the breakfast. There's also a waffle maker, toast and instant oatmeal for other hot food choices. Yogurt and apples were also available.
The theme park shuttle was also very good. If you're using it for anything but Disney it leaves too early that you will miss breakfast. If you're using it for Disney the first shuttle will arrive at 9:15a to go to Hollywood studios with another shuttle coming a little later for Epcot. Disney has their own free transportation between their parks and resorts so just pick the time that's more convenient for you to leave and just use the Disney transportation to get to the park or resort you need to be at.
If you need to do laundry they have a laundry room where it's $3 a load. They offer complimentary detergent which was nice.
Another thing I didn't like was how there wasn't much walking distance from the hotel. The nearest restaurant and store was about a 30 minute walk.
Overall I really enjoyed our stay for the price. The free shuttle service absolutely made it worth it. We didn't need to rent a car, spend on gas and pay for parking at Disney. It's also close enough to where it feels like you're staying on Disney property. While the breakfast was just ok overall it did keep us full most of the day. Will absolutely stay here on our next...
Read more2 AM and an extremely loud group of a few dozen people talking loudly and laughing. Front desk was unresponsive to asking them to keep noise level down out of respect for other guests. Ridiculous. After loud group finally got checked in teenage looking desk clerk blared his phone continously. It is now 3:30 AM. I have gone out to the desk twice to speak to hom about it. He turns it down when he sees me approaching and then turns it back up to loud voices on speaker after I leave, and totally denies he's doing it, as he's sitting back in his hoodie glaring I to his phone and telling me it 's on "minimum". Other desk clerks have been helpful and nice, and the breakfast is good except for being very overcrowded with people inches from you on all sides in the buffet area. ... day clerk approached me (sweet girl) and told me she needed to reply me because the overnight clerk intentionally canceled out my room access key. Interesting. She said she will be filing a complaint about him. The rest of the staff has been very sweet. Another small issue is the yesterday morning I had bugs flying out of my sink drain. Maintenance person was sweet, but did not speak or understand English. All he did was come in and fill the sink overdrawn hole with SILICONE. LOL. More sink drain bugs today (I have put nothing down it but water). Front desk gal very receptive and said policy is that she will need to have me change rooms. I am waiting to hear back from her. Desk clerk was a sweetheart finding a room for me at noon time. Bathroom fan does not work, nor does the smart TV. Another sweet front desk clerk came to help me bust said I couldn't get local channeling or Chanel program because it was a "smart tv" and I'd have to have my own membership to sign in. Went to do my laundry and only one washer and one dryer was left. Others had "out of order" signs on them. Area around the back door had a 10 foot radius of hundreds of cigarette butts on the ground. NOT IMPRESSED. "GRAND HOTEL" is NOT SO GRAND! Certainly the have some work to do. Of note, although young and not real helpful front desk clerks were nice. Also I did see a couple young ladies working hard cleaning floors, and they kitchen staff girls who manage the breakfast do a very fine job. . . So the third person in two days checks out the television. He's non English speaking but types to me that the problem was that the TV was not connected to the internet. FIXED.... for 5 minutes, then message no internet again. Called him back in and he types "ts's just that we are having trouble with the internet". He doesn't do anything except type me note " I'm going to solve it" and leaves.
Ridiculous. No guest should have to deal with one problem after another. This is stressful, not relaxing. Two morning in a row I have waited all morning in my room for assistance, an noone showed up. Same as last night. Desk clerk said he'd come in 20 minutes and never showed...

I stayed at this property from May 22nd to May 23rd, and it was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Late into the night, my room began to emit a strong and overwhelming sewage odor. On top of that, the television was not functioning at all. I attempted to call the front desk four times around 2 AM to report the issue, but no one answered.
With no other option, I went down to the lobby in the middle of the night. The front desk attendant was nowhere to be found and eventually emerged, appearing to return from a personal outing—highly unprofessional for someone on duty during overnight hours. I explained the hazardous condition, and she sent another staff member to the room. He confirmed that it smelled strongly of sewage and attempted, unsuccessfully, to fix the TV.
When I returned to the front desk, I was offered a room change, which was not feasible. My spouse takes prescription sleep medication, and moving him at that time was not an option. I was told that I could receive a full refund in the morning due to the condition of the room.
However, the next morning, a different staff member informed me that only a manager named Chris could authorize refunds—and that he wouldn’t be available until 6 PM. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, a woman named Raisa was brought out. She said she didn’t know why I was told I could get a refund and reiterated that only Chris could help. I asked her to call him directly, since he is her supervisor and I was a paying guest dealing with a serious issue. She refused. The conflicting stories and lack of accountability were incredibly frustrating.
Later that day, when I called the number I was given to reach Chris, it turned out to be for a different property in Orlando. I returned to the hotel, and finally encountered Chris in person. Rather than acknowledge the issue or the statements from his own employees, he dismissed my concerns and claimed the room did not smell like sewage—completely contradicting his own staff’s earlier confirmation.
At that point, I decided to check out and stay elsewhere rather than extend my stay. I chose a different hotel in the area where I could feel safe, clean, and respected.
This experience was completely unacceptable. The room was uninhabitable, the staff was unprofessional, and management was dismissive and evasive. If you value your health, safety, and time, I strongly recommend avoiding this property. Nearby options like Vacation Village or Silver Lake Resort offer far better service and...
