The facilities is basic but clean AND quite sufficient for a stay near the beach They have a fence in small pool that's ok for kids and adults. The room we got could accommodate 4 with 1 room queen (?) bed while the main area has 2 mattress with 1 pull out. Very comfy.
Toiletries available Towels, soap, etc.
Plates, pans, mini coffee maker.... basically like a 1 room small condo unit. Self sufficient possible and AC in the main area more than adequate even though I and the kids slept in the bedroom.
2 tvs and free wifi. Couldn't figure out how to turn on the cable, it's supposedly available. We didn't need it so didn't bother asking Nancy about it.
I didn't realize I could've cooked meals with the fridge, microwave, and a small stove/ oven. Next time, I'll be more prepared, though we'll still be eating out at night since we love seafood. Cooking might be a good option when staying longer.
Got take out lunch on our 2nd day and didn't have enough catsup for the kids. Nancy was a lifesaver and gave me some in a bottle while I was about to go walk to the conveniencec store 2 blocks away.
Walkable to the beach, we just took our wagon with stuff.
We booked 1 night only as my hubby was not as sure about the place, but he did we could stay 2 nights if it was ok. Luckily the room would be available 2 nights so i asked Nancy if we might extend and it was available. After seeing the place and getting some rest, obviously we extended ourc stay to 2 nights.
Nancy was very nice, friendly and anticipated needs of everyone staying.
Will definitely be...
Read moreThe best part of this small inn is its privacy, peacefulness and seclusion. It's just two blocks from the ocean but manages to avoid the crowds and the noise of the strip along Kure Beach's waterfront. With only four units, even when they are full you will always find time for a private dip in the pool or a quiet glide on one of the two decks shelter by awnings and surrounded by flowers. The price is right too, as a room here compares favorably with one of the high rise condos or motels where you have to share a pool, if it has one, with dozens of people or climb stairs and traipse down hallways or sit on balconies decorated with cast off beach towels and toys. Plus you are out of the salt-laden breezes which coat everything with a sticky film. Our room - the Egret - was the smallest but it included a king size bed, small dining table with chairs, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tv. A closet and tall chest of drawers provided plenty of space for clothes for the week's stay. If there's any drawback to the room it would be the small size of the shower. If that's a problem for you, ask if one of the larger rooms has more space for a bathroom. Nancy , the owner, was friendly and always ready to lend extra kitchen equipment when...
Read moreWhen I got married at the beach I stay here. Actually my whole family stayed at this whole entire and which has four rooms. The rooms are not huge except number 4. But they serve the purpose and a lot of them have kitchens and all of that. Nancy is the owner and she does a wonderful job of taking care of you. It has a swimming pool and it also has a grill it's just a down-home family type place. It's peaceful and you can feel the love and we love it here. We stay here every time we go to the beach. This place gets booked up really fast so you're going to have to call soon. It is always super clean and she goes out her way to make you feel at home. This is the only place we will stay at...
