United States Postal Service — Local services in Kure Beach

I’d rather swim across the Atlantic with meat shorts on than deal with this place. Walked into people with bad attitudes and bad customer service. Package was delivered to the post office because we do not live here and needed the products upon arrival. Had to knock on the door to get someone attention and lady greeted me with a what do you need? Gave her the reason for me being here and she said she didn’t have anything for us. Offered to give them the tracking number and my phone to show them and still insisted on me being at the wrong place because they hadn’t seen it. They finally took my phone with the screenshot and WALKED AWAY with my phone with the door being slammed in my face. Mind you I can see the ladies eyes are dilated… They finally found my package sand said here and proceeded to slam the door in my face. It’s amazing how the package just appeared…. As far as I’m concerned, this place needs new employees and staff needs to be trained how to handle...

I've visited this Post Office 4 times, It is by far the worst Post Office that I've visited in my 51 years. The smallest PO box they have is like $60 for 6 months, You are at their mercy at all times. They are late opening, They don't want to work They do 2 hour lunch breaks. They don't keep enough cash in the register to honor money orders putting all the responsibility on you. They shouldn't even be in business. Now I gotta drive 30 miles to my bank one way and then it's another $10. I shouldn't even be having to explain myself. CLOSE THE DOORS or Fit...

I live in Kure Beach and since most of the condos here are second homes, the HOA doesn't have us receive USPS mail. Instead we can set up a PO Box with with the Kure Beach Post Office. The staff at the Post Office was really great in helping me set up my box several years ago, and also in improving how to get my packages.
