I had the Birria Tacos con Queso. My husband had the Tacos al Pastor. Both plates were delicious, but somewhat greasy. The chefs are from northern Mexico so expect a different flavor than from your typical Mexican restaurant in this area. It was new, different and delicious.
I loved their salsa bar so that I could pick and choose which ever ingredients I wanted to dress my own tacos! The condiments were very fresh. The salsa bar offers red and green salsa. If you prefer spicy salsa, I recommend the red. For more more mild salsa, the green.
The style of food is not sure Tex-Mex food that one would expect. As mentioned before the chefs are from Northern Mexico; consequently, the food has a unique but delicious flavor.
The Mexican homemade lime pie was delicious and a perfect size serving.
The service was good and the waiter took his time to describe the backgrounds of the various chefs.
This restaurant could certainly earn a five star rating if they reduce the grease just a little bit.
We will definitely...
Read moreHonestly I had to calm down a lot before writing this review. Que pasa!? That exactly what I had asked, because everything was horrible. It seems that there's a new waiter every month or so because we also had a new waiter. We didn't get any napkins or silverware when we were seated. The salsas from the salsa bar were flavorless and seems like the Herdez brand. The food took a while to get out of the kitchen and when it arrived it was cold as it was sitting out there for a few minutes. So what happened? Nothing good about the experience. For the cost of the food you would expect not over salted seasoning or bad service. There needs to be a better way to manage this restaurant. Label your tables and have the waiter use a notepad for the orders. If he's new please shadow him or her to teach accordingly how to wait a restaurant. Have the cooks take a moment and taste what they have prepared, because it could help with seasoning and prepping the food correctly. This place was recommended but I won't recommend it to...
Read moreThis is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in Las Cruces. I don't know what all the hype is about and how people can go and eat there. The food was terrible. Beans were canned or something, they didn't taste fresh, had a burnt taste. Rice was hard and tasteless. The tacos were with barely any meat. The salsa bar was barely stocked. There were 4 of us and none of us ate the food because it was not good. We ordered margaritas and they were disgusting. The cheap liquor was used because they tasted bitter and no flavor. And for the price, I think they could've been bigger. The waitress didn't come to attend us for a long time and didn't come back after delivering our food at all. We had to go to the cashier and tell them where we were sitting so they could charge us, because they never gave us the ✅. We told the cashier we had a bad experience and she just shrugged and didn't say anything. We paid over 100.00 for uneaten food and alcoholic drinks. Will never waste my time or money...
