Great location, great service, clean rooms, some outdated items (carpet/flooring, stairs were too narrow for my big feet) but for the affordable cost, just call it cozy! I loved the bath tub, took me first bath in over 20 years! I was sick most of the weekend from a chronic illness flare up, unfortunately, but this was a great home away from home to rest, and close enough for my partner to still go out and about and salvage some of the trip. We normally stay at a different place in town, but for the price/our budget, we decided to give it a go. It'll be tough to choose next time. These home has all the amenities you need, and a few you didn't even realize you needed. Check out the view from our private deck! Thanks for your awesome mission of getting all us working poor an affordable stay-away, too! ;)

I posted the post below with 2 stars after my stay in the Teton Room. The property rental agency contacted me and assured me the shower would be repaired. I asked that they send pictures proving that and yesterday I received the picture that they are repairing the shower. I appreciate them contacting me, following through with their promise and making it right so I've changed my rating to 4 stars! (I've added the picture of the construction on the shower) Kudos to the photographer who made the Teton Natl Park Room look so good. There is a reason the shower is not pictured in the listing because it is gross! I am amazing this place has a 4.7 rating!

Ours was a last minute booking on our road trip from RMNP to Utah. The room was clean, bed was super comfy and bathroom was large (wife especially loved the floor to ceiling mirror). Owners were super friendly and welcoming. We only stayed for a night hence didn’t get a chance to try all the amenities but this place also had a heated pool, game room and a library of VHS tapes for anyone looking for vintage collections. Nothing beats homemade breakfast in the morning with beautiful views of fall colors.

Do not book a room here. There are brand new owners and they do not have it together.

I spent one night here with two other people in the front room and I will never spend another night here again. Phone calls go unanswered and emails go unacknowledged. There is no form of communication available to you, so if you have an issue, you can't get in touch with anyone.

The house was a mess when we entered and when we walked into our room, we were right away alerted to the drip from the window (it had snowed and accumulated at least 5 feet at that point), which we are sure the managers were aware of, since we overheard a maintenance man talking about it before we found our way to the room - although no one stopped by to apologize for it, and no note was left to indicate awareness of it. The leak itself was an issue since the window was right over the main bed. That leak expanded overnight, and ended up dripping on our heads while we tried to sleep, forcing us to switch positions in the middle of the night, and hoping that our bed wouldn't get soaked through. What a mess.

That night, we were also alerted by the very loud fire alarm right outside our room that something was wrong in the hallway, which was thankfully turned off - by a guest - and which turned out to be due to the massive leak coming from the ceiling next to the alarm, and dripping onto the hall carpet. There were leaks all over the house. Although a bucket was placed there, the drip was much larger, and ended up soaking the carpet overnight, a definite hazard and health issue since the fire alarm was not put back on.

If you care to have a good night's sleep, don't book a room at this place. I've never been more miserable at a hotel.

UPDATE: The owners, upon seeing this review, decided to return our payment for our...

Excellent location, clean and modern updates to a historic mansion. Stayed here for an entire week while taking in all the Ski Resorts (Vail, Beaver Creek, Breck and Keystone are all 40-45 min drives and Ski Cooper is just 12 min away). Rooms have all the amenities and the hosts are very helpful if you have any requests. Security is great as each door has a keypad lock. After a long day on the mountain you can sit in the outdoor hot tub or indoor sauna to relax. The upgraded Kitchen is perfect for cooking with friends and family as there is plenty of bar space to share and prepare food. Multiple laundry machines on site ensure you dont have to wait to have clean clothes and the gym has what you need to get a pump while on vacation. The common areas are large and during our stay all other guests were very friendly and fun to interact with. Pool and Ping Pong along with board games and even a throwback Nintendo 64 keep you entertained when you want to stay in. I will definitely be coming back to the Mountain Hideaway when I want to explore the best parts of Colorado.

Additionally, dog sleddding and snowmobiling experiences are just a few minutes away and spectacular views of the largest mountains in Colorado (Mt Elbert & Mt Massive). If you're a history buff check out the Saloon and read up on the Army's 10th Mountain Division and how Leadville helped them in WWII. Overall, an amazing week in Colorado and in large part due to the...

Alex and Nadim were very communicative and checked in several times and were very accommodating of my service dog despite a no-pet policy! 😊 The lodge itself was a five-minute walk away from most of the shops on Main Street, which was very convenient. The Yosemite Suite was an excellent starting point and home base to explore Leadville and the surrounding areas. We didn’t spend much time in the room itself. We were up in Leadville for a trail race, so most of our full-day, we were not in the room. The room itself was quite hot much of the time we were there. Up to 84 degrees at one point, and it took much of the day to cool down to a comfortable temperature. There is no AC (which is advertised), so you have to use the tower fan and an open balcony door to try to cool down the room. The window wouldn’t budge open. The carpet had seen better days but the floor rug made up for it. The mattress was a little creaky and sank in, but the pillows were awesome! The bathroom was huge with a claw foot tub and a nice shower and dual sink layout. It was nice to have a smart TV and a small couch to sit on in the evenings before bed. And the view from the balcony was gorgeous. At the end of the day, you’re not going to Leadville to sit in a room; you’re likely exploring the beautiful surrounding area! Other than the hot room and some much-needed renovations to the room and building itself, we really...
