After what can only be described and a horrifying experience in a Liberal Kansas hotel, along comes the Rodeway Inn. Not one for the posh experience , I do like parking by my door, the privacy of the exterior rooms and the quiet of the old mom n' pop hotel. This hotel was exactly that, but they have really done a nice job as update the old with the new. Family ran they all put their best foot forward to each of their customers to make them comfortable. The place was very clean and everything was in working order. I have to say that I found the place after a very bad experience that I moved out half way through my trip. For some reason, which I have not figured out why yet, this town has an abundance of hotels. Stopping point for truckers, conventions or maybe Dorothy's House is way more popular than I realize, but there are a lot of options. So I drove around and looked for the one with the most cars, thinking there must be something to it. It worked cause the place had 1 room left which was fine with me. You would be surprised how many literally had 1 car out front and if you think about it, that was probably the guy behind the desk. So I would probably be safe to say, I'm not the only one who...
Read moreI was in town on an assignment and this is one of the places they had me stay they were very rude the bathroom flooded twice and they didn’t even bother to come clean it up one of times that it flooded. the air was not working it was so hot in our room the man gave me a key for another room because it was so hot then me and my son went to sleep in the room we didn’t take our things from the other room because we was told they would get it fixed and the next day they tried to say we would have to pay extra for the second room because it was “trashed” then corrected herself and said because the beds were unmade! and it wasn’t until the day before we left that they changed our air conditioner out these people are very rude very lazy and honestly just made my assignment 10x harder I will never stay at this place again they also told us that if we wanted our sheets changed then we would have to pay then threatened to call the police on us because my mom was “calling too much” because things wasn’t working as they should. I would definitely just go to a nicer hotel because this just wasn’t the way to go I would give you 0 stars if I could...
Read moreI stayed here twice: once on my way home in Kansas from Albuquerque, and once on my way back to Albuquerque. This is officially my new place to stay on my way home! It doesn't have much in the way of breakfast, but it's situated well enough that you can drive or walk down the street and get something. The beds and pillows are better than most hotels I've stayed in (no sore neck in the morning), and the rooms are clean. The first time, the room smelled somewhat of dog, but I think the place is pet-friendly (Both times they asked if I had animals), so I'm willing to forgive it. It seems to be run by a family, and they're friendly enough; certainly not rude. The shower leaves a little to be desired; the quality varies depending on the room but in both rooms, the bathtub had nothing to keep it from being very slippery, and I almost slipped a few times.
Overall though, it's a great deal and the rooms are above and beyond what I expect from a motel. The parking lot's a little weird, but I never had any problems having an actual space. I definitely recommend this place to whoever's looking to stay the...
