I am so sorry to have to leave this review, but I feel the need to warn others about the kind of people who work here.
My 11yr old daughter and I stayed there in January for her basketball tournament. On the second night there, she caught 103 fever and I packed up quickly and headed home. Once we got home, a couple days later she was feeling better and was unpacking all of her things, she realized her toiletry bag did not make it home. I realized I had left it in the bathroom of the hotel and felt so terrible. The reason why I felt extra terrible was because this bag, and everything in it, was her Christmas present this year.
Anyway, I called the hotel right away after figuring this out, hoping that there would be honest and good people working there. At first they could not find it but said they would check with housekeeping. I called back a few days later explaining that this was my daughter's Christmas present and the lady called me back shortly saying that she was able to find it. I was super happy and impressed and ready to give them a 5* raving review bc this just meant so much to us. She then asked me to send them a box with a return label and then they would send it back to me. No problem.
The next day, I went to FedEx, purchased a box, packaging tape, a return label and shipping there. $50 spent, but worth it to get her stuff back.
Two weeks passed by and we hadn't received it. I called the hotel and they said they would call me back, they did not. I called back a week later and the lady went and checked and said the box was placed in the incoming pile, not the outgoing pile so she moved it and it should come shortly. Great, thank you so much!
Two weeks later, still nothing. I called back, the lady said she didn't see it back there so it must have left. The next day I get an email from FedEx that the package was on the way! Amazing. We are so happy and thankful.
Today, a package arrives on my doorstep, in a different and smaller box than what I sent them but whatever just so happy to get this back. My daughter gets the box with a smile on her face :) She opens it up, and her toiletry bag is there, but there are only 3 products in the bag now, and there were probably 10-15 in there when we left it. She says "they stole my stuff?". I'm like yah I guess they did. How sad for a child to be robbed.
On top of that, there are 3 products left in the bag: a hair gel, a perfume, and a chap stick. The hair gel has been replaced with soap and possibly glue inside, the perfume has been replaced with water inside, and the chap stick has been dug completely out of the container.
She cried.
I'm super disappointed in whomever did this. And I hope they read this. And care. And...

Downtown Lincoln is approximately 3 to 5 miles away if you’re looking for good restaurants and entertainment. Overall, the hotel is fairly brand new and in great condition. The rooms were nice, large and comfortable. I enjoyed the shower which it was roomie. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows in the right amount of blankets. Didn’t hear much a noise level from the hallway or the neighbors at all. The tiles were plentiful and soft. Got up bright and early and grabbed some breakfast prior to Heading out. Plenty of food for the free breakfast waffles potato cereal, muffins, etc..
Service all right. Evening shift was not really too cordial. Playing to the point did her job nothing more. The morning staff was very friendly and inviting, which is hard to do after working at midnight shift at six in the morning. Lol.
I tried to put a cash deposit down on the room, but they would not let me. I’m not a big fan of using my card for deposits just in case an emergency on the trip. That’s the only complaint I really have.
If you’re going through Lincoln need a place to stay and get up early and go highly suggested. If you’re coming to Lincoln for a few days and see the sites and look for restaurant area, entertainment area, art area; this is not ideally the...
Read moreI’ve stayed at this hotel at least two times within the last 2 years. Previous stays were not stellar but were pretty good. Hotel was clean and smelled good. Also, this isn’t the best neighborhood in Lincoln. The only reason I’ve stayed here is because it’s close to the airport where I need to do business. This stay, week of July 8, 2024, I’ve experienced a dump. First off, the hotel stinks, especially the second floor, but everywhere there is this nasty stench. Stayed in room 202 and the hallway light doesn’t work…ok, I can deal with that. But went to get some ice to enjoy cold water for the evening and the ice machine was not working on 2nd floor. Went to get ice on the 1st floor and the machine was disgusting…ceiling panel over ice machine was removed and laying on top of machine…debris all over machine and it wasn’t clean to begin with….afraid if I use the ice, I may get sick…going iceless for now. Next morning I went to get coffee….I have to drink decaf…leaded makes my heart go nuts….No Decaf. It’s not just that none was made, they didn’t even have any to make…have to order it…blah, blah, blah….nothing but excuses. That evening, I go to workout in the gym and both elliptical machines are broke. The carpet throughout the hotel is dirty and look like they haven’t been vacuumed in months and the elevators are dirty too. I can’t wait until I can get outta here….and I guarantee I won’t be back. Marriott should be ashamed, but considering this hotel’s condition, they probably don’t give a rip. RIP Marriott…I’m taking my business to another...
