REVIEW WITH MOTEL 6 RESPONSE: I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a recent stay at one of your locations during a cross-country trip for a medical emergency. As a frequent traveler, I have long appreciated Motel 6’s pet-friendly policies and no-hassle accommodations, especially when traveling with my family and our four-legged companion.
Due to the unpredictable nature of our travel schedule, we were unable to book in advance and arrived as walk-ins. We were informed that only studio rooms were available, and given the high demand in the area at this time, we were grateful to secure a room.
However, upon entering the room, my daughters were immediately terrified by a severe roach infestation. This was not a case of a few stray insects, roaches were visibly present in every corner, drawer, and even in the bedding. When I moved the shower curtain, roaches raied down into the tub. They did not scatter upon our arrival, indicating a long-standing and unchecked infestation.
We were unable to bring our belongings inside for fear of contamination and slept sitting up, only briefly, before continuing our journey. I requested assistance from the front desk to help ease my children’s distress, and while I understand the need for management approval to distribute cleaning supplies, the lack of concern or acknowledgment from staff was deeply troubling.
This experience was, without question, the worst I have encountered in my years of travel, including stays in lower-end establishments. I am shocked that this location continues to operate under the Motel 6 brand, as it poses a serious health and safety risk and severely undermines the reputation of your company.
I urge you to investigate this property immediately and take appropriate action to ensure no other families are subjected to such conditions. I would appreciate a response outlining the steps Motel 6 intends to take to address this issue.

Read moreThe infestation of roaches had my family up in arms. We typically prefer the no hassle policy Motel 6 offers for our four-legged family member. Traveling across country for a medical ememergency, we were unable to book in advance not knowing how far we could travel per day. As a walk in, we were informed there were only studios available. We were just thankful to have a room in an area that was oddly booked up. Upon entry, my girls screamed in terror and begged to sleep in the car. There wasn't just a roach "here - or - there" it was "Joe's Aparement" these guys had made a home and didn't even scatter with our presence. When I moved the shower curtain from the soap dish, it rained roaches (they had the curtain decorativey draped into the soap dish) Every drawer, every corner and in the bedding. We couldn't bring our belongings in the room for fear we would collect hitchhikers. We slept sitting up in bed and only long nough for me to nap to keep moving down the road. I travel for a living. This was by far the WORST and most DISCUSTING experience I have ever had and I have stayed in some low end areas. I cannot believe your brand hasn't shut this place down and remedied the problem for fear of tarnishing your reputation. I even had to ask the front desk for some sort of something to ease my girls minds and the glass cleaner I was provided didn't work. Your front desk person offered no comment, no concern, only that he hadn't clocked inyet and would need to consult mngmt to allow me to have a chemical bottle (which I totally understand) but the adopted norm to pretend the problem is non-existant is poor business. Shame on you! MOTEL 6 RESPONSE: was the standard, sorry you were displeased. hope your next stay with us is better... too majy other options to give STUDIO 6 another shot if this is how problems...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. Disgusting stay would not recommend to anyone. Where to start (there were so many awful things about this hotel I’m using bullet points to point out the main issues) hotel hallway and room smelt musty and moldy, smell was so strong it made me sick to my stomach room was humid, even with the AC on the smell in the room remained musty -there was a light practically hanging out of the ceiling that felt unsafe, see pictures below -white stuff stained the edges of the carpet, I don’t know if it was mold growing, bug spray, or dry wall that had been there so long it was moist and embedded in the carpet because they don’t seem to sweep the floors regularly, see pictures below -the carpet in the entrance of the room was damp -phone in room did not work, could not call to lobby we occupied a room with two queen beds, both comforters had multiple cigarette holes and one had disgusting red stain (we were in a non smoking room), see pictures below WiFi was spotty -noted a couple flying bugs in the room, checked for bed bugs because we were so disgusted by the room, we noted none We paid $62 for this room and it was a total ripoff for what it was. I would not pay $30 for this motel, seriously a tent would be much better.
On a brighter side, I always like to say at least one good point about every hotel, for this one it would be that the check in process moved quickly but we also checked in later at night after a long day of travel so we were the only customers in the lobby.
Better value and higher quality hotels around the area for the same price if not better. I left early and booked a room with another nearby hotel which was better value and quality. Would never even consider...
