Holiday Inn Express & Suites Litchfield West by IHG — Hotel in Litchfield

When i went to check in, i found out that they checked someone into my room under me and used my credit card to do it. It was late at night about 11pm and i had my 7 year old daughter with me who was very tired. They finally realized what they did and gave me a different room. they even upgraded us to a Suite witch did absolutely nothing for us as we were just going to sleep there for the night. They said that they would only charge me the "normal" room rate for the Suite. When the bill came under the door the next morning, I realized that they charged me for the full Suite rate. We went down for Breakfast and to get our bill straightened out. The lady behind the counter was more concerned about her McDonalds breakfast sandwich then she was taking care of us, so we went back to the room and got our swimming trunks on and went back down to the front desk. By this time the Manager was there. I asked her to fix the problem then come let us know in the pool that it had been taking care of. She came and told us that it was fixed and everything was good. We left not long after. A few days after our stay i checked my bank account and it showed that we had been billed for the original room that they gave to someone else and also the room we stayed in....

I had an amazing experience from the time I arrived. After about 15 or so hours of driving in the car during Thanksgiving weekend, I was ready for a good night's sleep. When I arrived the check in process was a breeze and the staff were incredibly polite! When I got into my room it was clean, a very good size, there were USB outlets (thank goodness) to charge my phone and the bathroom was loaded with towels and really good toiletries. (I'm picky about toiletries) I had a fairly good night sleep. The bed was a little firm for my liking, but you cannot please everyone! After a good night sleep and an amazing hot shower (water pressure was great), I headed down for breakfast with my mom and my son before we checked out. The breakfast had a very nice spread and an impressive cleanliness which you dont always see. This was not the typical grab a cheap coffee and pastry and fruit to head out, this was a great sit down and get full breakfast! Lots of hot options, great beverage choices, and my son was in love with the eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy! I could not say enough nice things about this place and I plan to stay here again in the near future as I travel through this area quite a few...

This Holiday Inn Express was wonderful! We really enjoyed the modern look and cleanliness of the rooms and entire property, the daily breakfast and coffee were very good and had great variety, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. We had a family reunion and everyone stayed here and had a great time. We reserved the conference room downstairs and had it available for gathering throughout the day and dinners...we had a DJ come the last night and had a dance party. it was perfect! The kids really loved the pool and the gym facilities were very nice also. The bed was not the most comfortable for us, I think the waterproof mattress cover made it a bit "squeaky" which didn't make for a soothing sleep if you adjust at all during the night. I also didn't like that the rooms with a king bed ONLY have standing showers. We had our infant with us and would have preferred a tub/shower combo option, but we also didn't want to sacrifice the extra space in the room that having just one king bed afforded.
