Do NOT stay here!!! We had a late check in 9pm quickly took the kids down to the pool (since it closes at 10pm for kids) came back upstairs and tried to shower. Problem #1: Shower would not drain. Problem #2: pulled the sheets back and there were bugs, YES bugs, and black hair all over the sheets. The four in our family are as blonde as they come...definitely not from us. Upon the findings, I went downstairs and asked the front desk guy to come upstairs to see what is going on in the room. Upon him evaluating the bed he blamed the housekeepers for the beds. He seen the bugs and hair. We proceeded to pack our bags and go downstairs to get a refund-there was no other available rooms. The front desk guy proceeded to call his manager and tell her what went on (he was explaining the situation in the lobby where other customers listening to which they went and looked into their rooms) and stated to us after talking to his manager he cannot REFUND our money until Monday and ONLY if it is confirmed that they are indeed bed bugs. Now, it is 10:30 I had two little children no other rooms in this hotel to sleep in and they will not refund our money. Keep in mind BLACK HAIR (not one but MANY) and BUGS!!! We stated we will not leave until we are refunded. Again the front desk guy called his manager and she hung up on him stating we will not be getting refunded. Next thing cops come in. We explain our story and they don’t understand why we cannot get our money back. Cops end up talking with the manager to which she ends up talking to my husband. She said we were threatening to tell everyone in the hotel. Big difference in a threat vs inform to check their rooms. Little did she know her front desk guy did enough by telling his manager; in front of others in the lobby(he should have went into the back). none of this would have been an issue if they would have just refunded our money like good hotels and staff do. In the end we got asked to be removed from the premises with no refund last night. My advice: DO...
Read moreWe decided to stay here as a quick get away while our kiddos were gone. We stayed in the jacuzzi suit. The jets didn't work well but were good enough. The room was clean and we weren't about to let our temperamental jacuzzi tub ruin our date night. However as the evening progressed it was clear to see that what was once a nice clean Americinn that I am used to staying at, is turning into yet another ran down mess. We read that they had adult pool hours 10pm - midnight so rather then worrying about going out to bars and making it back safely we opted to bring our own adult beverages to the pool area during the adult time and have some drinks by the pool and listen to music. After a couple drinks we are floating around the pool having a good time, here comes two moms with their loud crazy kids running and jumping and splashing in the pool. It was almost 10:30 pm. We let them do their thing for a while thinking they might head out shortly but when more of their gang showed up we tried to nicely explain that we are drinking and the hotel has adult hours which we are taking advantage of. But the one mom got all upset over it and started yelling about it. So we said that's OK. Well just go back to our room with our half working jacuzzi and finish our drinks and listen to music there..... problem solved. no biggie. But then the moms and their rambunctious troop stormed out to reception asking if their kids are a problem here and said that we were being rude to them. We just walked past that chaos and went on with our night. Got some sleep. Woke up and got ready, went down to check out the breakfast. Sign on the door "Breakfast section closed" when you look into the area, you can tell the area where their breakfast is served has been turned into the owners living area or something. I definitely would not recommend this place if you're looking for anything more then a quick place...
Read moreI would strongly discourage even considering making a reservation at this hotel.
We had rooms scheduled for a visit for a local sports tournament for a weekend. Initially it took 10-15 phone calls to get someone to answer the phone and 3 separate phone conversations to even book rooms due to confusion and disorganization on the hotel’s end of things. Once finally booked (in November for a January stay), our team manager decided to change hotels based on the trouble people were having getting booked. We cancelled our reservation on the Wyndham app and the team manager also called and cancelled our reserved block of rooms for the whole team and we found a new hotel. Fast forward to January - two hours prior to our supposed check in, we received an email “confirming” our reservation at this hotel. My wife called to clear up the confusion and spent over an hour on the phone with the hotel and Wyndham customer service just to be told that we would be charged one nights rate for not cancelling our room. The hotel admitted that they had record of the block being cancelled but that they didn’t have any record of our cancellation because they could not track it on the app. When Wyndham was contacted they also said that they could not tell if the room had been cancelled or not and that they would look into it but supported the charge for one night.
Overall the staff at the hotel seemed to familiar with this conversation and continued to try to avoid any involvement with Wyndham and tried to avoid having any manager at the hotel get involved. My suspicion is that this has happened previously there and likely is an easy way to make some money off of a cancelled reservation.
In the future we will avoid booking with Wyndham also due to their lack of effort in supporting their clientele and instead backing one of their facilities that is riddled with 1...
