Avoid at all costs!||Absolutely terrible-I can’t believe I am writing this as I have known the GM for 10 plus years in a strictly professional capacity and had nothing but wonderful management in the past hotel at which she was the GM (Conway La Quinta) where we came through for a week or two a few times a year for the last 10 years until we actually ended up living there (due to having already rented our home out and not being able to move to Florida as planned when the pandemic suddenly hit).||The GM (and her sister, Miss Lisa) the former assistant GM at this property and at the Conway location as well) always were the most helpful, customer service oriented, and just generally amazing.||Something has drastically changed and it shows.||When we were not accommodated for an extra evening, we were told by the new assistant GM the GM had let her sister, the assistant GM go?||All but two of the employees at this property are incredibly rude, breakfast is hardly ever stocked and declined greatly in the 6 weeks we were in house.||Burned sausage, rock hard and dried out bagels, etc.||It is next to impossible to get towels, sheets, etc.||Everyone in housekeeping says ask the front desk who then passes it on to the next shift so no one assumes responsibility for the guest obtaining supplies.||Bring your own quarters or don’t do laundry because they never have any.||Asked for a full week prior to receiving some.||Laundry room is only available from 9AM-9PM.||Never heard of that in a hotel, and we travel extensively.||The walls are so incredibly paper thin that one can hear absolutely EVERYTHING.||Please know, you will get blamed for noise even if it is clearly the rooms around you (we had the lobby below us so no rooms and STILL got blamed).||Never had this issue with the same exact management while living for over a year in Conway…this property does not own their paper thin wall issues.||TV is local cable with almost no channel selection and no guide.||Zero Hallmark or HBO channels.||Asked about that, given an ambiguous answer as well.||||I heard the GM and assistant GM discussing doing the “tax free folios” for the railroad workers they house on a monthly basis (coincidentally at the rate we had as it was at the top of my reg card I signed), yet when we asked for tax free after the 30 day mark it was declined (yet we had tax free when we lived at the Conway location)!||||I’m absolutely shocked at the lack of professionalism, customer service, rate changes with no warning or reason given even when asked repeatedly, illegally withholding tax free from us while giving it to others, and just general rudeness.||We have been Wyndham Diamond members for many years.||This stay should||not have been this way.||I should have known the night we checked in and the horribly rude night auditor moved us across four rooms finally landing in the second floor EK (that we requested when we first arrived and signed the reg card) where she claimed she had no EK rooms all evening and that the assistant GM “made a mistake” on my reservation.||We wasted 3 plus hours on this process until we had to cancel half the following day’s appointments to get any sleep at all.||Kept getting locked out while unloading as she gave keys that didn’t work and didn’t watch the desk or answer the hotel phone (both at check in and throughout our 6 week stay).||She also pounded on our car window for two nights in a row in the carport to move because SHE had parked her vehicle permanently overnight therefore blocking the entire carport if another guest was pulled in-yet expects us to move instead of her “because she had permission”.||Nothing was done to rectify these or any other complaints we shared in 6 weeks.||Not one single adjustment, apology, or even acknowledgement.||Emails ignored and never replied to by the GM.||GM’s email posted on meeting room door and on folios comes back as undeliverable.||Highly recommend trying another hotel in the area after zero acknowledgment and over $3K plus many points nights spent during a medical stay.||There are several other hotels around this property that were quite nice, and some even have full kitchens.||We regret staying here, and will...
Read moreThis was my first stay at a Hilton Spark hotel. Until this trip, I was unaware of this sub-brand. The building, elevator and rooms are solidly built and have a contemporary atmosphere. There was more than adequate parking and a seating area for breakfast. Our room was a single queen size bed option, which included a work desk and seating area for one person. The furniture was relatively new and moderately comfortable. The desk chair had a broken back and had to be replaced. After getting the replacement chair, I realized that it was simply a poor design. The bathroom was clean with good sink space for toiletries and make-up. The shower was easily big enough for two people if that’s your thing.
I have no complaints about the building. It was clean, comfortable and well taken care of. Only a couple criticisms. There were some staff communication issues. I called the front desk on two separate occasions and no one answered. Fortunately, it was not an emergency. During my stay I purchased water several time. One staff person charged the expense to my room. Another staff person told me that I didn’t have that option and needed to pay. One night we had no activities and decided to rest. I went to the front desk and asked for suggestions for restaurants nearby. I got the name of one restaurant. And finally, there’s not much variety included in the “free breakfast.” There were bagels / cream cheese, cold cereal and...
Read moreOne of the more bad experiences at a hotel and that's RARE!
When I went to my room I noticed a beeping sound like a fire alarm battery needed to be replaced, didn't want to be sleeping with that so I called down to the desk and she laughed and said "that's the ice machine, I can't turn it off or there will be no ice" I decided to walk down the hallway and check the ice machine...low and behold no beeps coming from the ice machine. Turns out the beeps were coming from fire alarm #35 RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR (see video attached)
The next thing that was unfortunate, I went down and asked for a pillow and she said there are no extra pillows which I haven't experienced that in years.
I m glad the room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the little things are what count for guests, I hope these things get...
