I orginally purchased the Bentley Sectional sofa set. The chaise on the Bentley started reclining without pushing the lever. I had a repairman come out and it starting working for about 2-3, now it is not working. I have another chaise being delivered on Tuesday. I also purchase a $1,000.00 lift chair. It was sealed in plastic and over Christmas noticed that all of the mechanism underneath was VERY rusted. Havertys is saying they do not have one in stock. The chair is less than 6 months old. I purchased a bedroom suite and dining room set the first of January this year and 3 of the 6 dining room chairs had to be replaced due to being damaged. The pulls on the bed side table were stripped and unable to attach. The new dining room chairs were delivered only to have 1 of those damaged and so I am waiting for them to deliver a new one. The pulls on the bed side table were sent FED EX, only they sent the wrong ones. Now Havertys is asking for pictures of the pulls.....$12,000.00 worth of furniture has been purchased at this location and so far I have yet to receive 1 single piece that is not damaged or defective. I am very displeased with the entire situation. When I purchase an item I usually inspect it and make sure it is not damaged prior to bringing it home and with these deliveries I never know what shape the furniture will arrive. I also have missed work every single Tuesday for 3 weeks trying to get the deliveries at my home. Read morePurchase 8 thousand dollars of bedroom furniture. Upon delivery the drivers notice a piece was damaged and took pictures of this for my wife. Never receive a call from Dale Blake the General Manager. The company wanted to shift the responsibility of gathering pictures and provide explanations on how they damaged the product. Didn't know we were going to be working in the quality control department. We have more than one reschedule delivery dates to find out they are having issues being short handed. Furniture still is not fixed and still missing our rug. My wife is a nurse and works 12 hour shifts or longer. With that being said her time off is just as important as anyone else. This was a gift she bought for us as we are recently married and wanted new, quality furniture and some kindness with our purchase. If this is Harverttys leadership at this location... say no more. Give me a refund and good luck to those who are looking for basic customer service skills. The Zero Star should be created in honor of this company and go down in history as such. Thanks...
Read moreI am so disappointed with Havertys. I spent over 5k thinking that I would have the best. Not! Within the first couple of months my armless recliner acted up and it has consistently done so. It’s actually stuck in a open position as I type this. I thought surely the manager will do something since he knows this started prior to the first year end. He says “ We have sold many of these couches and yours is the first to have problems. You just need to file a claim you have three more years “. That was the sorriest excuse I ever heard. Do Not waist your money with Havertys. I should have gone to a much cheaper place. I honestly think I would have received better service. My salesman was very compassionate. I need new mattresses and I will go to Goodwill before I ever spend anything with Havertys. I wish I could return everything I ever bought from them.
