I had gone to a large furniture store before walking into Mattress Firm. I asked to check out some mattresses. They replied, “that’s not how we do it here. We custom fit a mattress to your body”. I knew right away that I was in for the hard sell. I indicated that I would just like to please check out some mattresses and get pricing. They assured me that it would only be 5 minutes and to trust the process. I told my wife that I want to leave but she persuaded me to at least try their process. Their process was exactly as I expected. 30 minutes of relentless hard sell later they finally gave me an “approximate” price on a mattress that I found I liked without their stupid fake process. I might have bought it but I hated the hard sell and it was much more than I planned on spending. I went straight to Mattress Firm, told the salesman what I liked and asked for something similar but less expensive. Only out of curiosity I asked him for his price on the same mattress. It was about $2000.00 less than the big store and that included delivery. My decision was easy. I got an amazing mattress that I thought I couldn’t afford. Stopped in for a quick stop to just get my daughter a new mattress, box spring and frame. Kelvin and Liz were both working. Kelvin helped us with the overall sale and Liz was very nice and helpful as well. Kelvin helped us straight away with picking the mattress for my daughter. Was very informative, treated her very nicely and was patient with her (she’s 9). As we were paying for her set, he helped us work out an incredible deal and at that time, we figured, we’re needing a new box spring anyways so Kelvin helped us price check a few for us. The amount of help and patience Kelvin and Liz both gave/had, we ended up getting a new split king mattress and adjustable base on top of the set we just paid for for our daughter. At no point did we feel pressured, or pushed into buying anything. We solely made the choice based on his communication, patience and overall help with the whole thing. We walked out with an incredible deal on everything. I’m so glad we stopped in at that location.
