Five Guys is one of the better burger places. They offer one and two patty burgers that are fried after you order them. You can add cheese and/or bacon to your burger. They also offer hot dogs and BLTs.
Toppings are of a wide variety and include the basics (mustard, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion), but also add many unusual toppings like relish, grilled green peppers, grilled onions, grilledmushrooms, jalapeños (fresh or grilled), A1 and BBQ sauce, hot sauce, and im sure I'm forgetting something. If you get it all (or most of it), your burger will be extremely sloppy but still good.
Their fries are excellent and they come in regular and cajun spiced flavors. A small is big enough for 2 to share (barely), and the large is quite plentiful. Our family of 4 usually gets 2 mediums and it works well. The fried are also cooked to order and served hot.
They offer milk shakes and those are well made. You can choose from a variety of flavors and you can add all for the same price. Ive yet to be brave enough for the bacon in a shake...but perhaps one day.
They have a Coke Freestyle machine so a variety of soft drinks are available and have flavored iced teas as well.
Lastly they do offer unshelled peanuts with small paper boats to eat them from. Great way to pass the time while your food is being prepared.
Staff is friendly and rarely makes mistakes which is a plus. Two things bring it down. One, its not inexpensive. A bacon cheeseburger is just under $10, a medium fries is $6. Our family of four spends close to $60 if we don't get shakes. For plain fried burgers, its just a bit high. The second downcheck is that while they offer a plethora of toppings, the patties themselves are nothing special. Think a standard Whopper or Quarter Pounder but with a better bun and...
Read moreDecent burgers and fries. Not really what I would call a Gourmet burger place. Selection of burgers is limited, ingredients are common. The things they claim set them apart are nothing is frozen, fries are farm grown north of the 42nd parallel (denser potatoes) and they use peanut oil to fry items.
Prices however are a bit on the high side, with the average meal totaling between $10-15. I;ve tried Five Guys about 3 times now, and compared to other chains that advertise the same never frozen, fresh potato ect preparations, Five Guys has just been less impressive to me.
The burgers have good flavor. The fries are good, better than many and are offered regular or cajun seasoned. However overall nothing has stood out to me that has made me a regular customer. The higher price for a average to good meal is probably the biggest factor seeing how Im willing to pay for something unique or a favorite but I've found neither here.
This location is very clean, service is usually pretty quick, can be empty in the late hours on week nights.
I will probably return at some point, as I have in the past, but without anything to particularly draw me in my visits come infrequently.

Read moreI have been here several times and ordered specialty burgers. They are a bit pricey, but I'd say it's worth it. However, it is not worth ordering a single patty. I recently ordered one and it wasn't even a full patty. It looked like some of it had been bitten off. The patty definitely was not round at all. Usually, when we've gone other times, we are asked if it's our first time there and they explain what all gets put in the burgers..."all the way." We weren't asked this last time and forgot that they add mushrooms. We had to scrape out the mushrooms and were left with 3/4 of a burger. It was mostly vegetables that I could taste, not like a burger with fixings. To make matters worse, they got the order wrong. I also ordered a small fry, which comes in a cup filled with fries and they add extra fries in the bag. Although it is a nice touch, I'd rather have a full burger than extra fries. All in all, it is an okay place to eat. Personally, I don't think I'll dine...
