Red Roof Inn Carson – Wilmington, CA — Hotel in Los Angeles

The amazing service started before we even got to leave for vacation. I had originally booked Thursday through Monday but as all things, life happens and we were not going to make it in until 3am and would miss out reservation. I had booked through Hotels.com and was going to change the reservation but because rates changed, I would have been charged $355.00 more for one less day. I called the front desk in a panic and spoke with Roger. He was amazing. Spoke to me and understood my panic. He booked me directly under the hotel and gave me the same rates minus Thursdays rate, so I was not paying more. He treated me with respect and understanding and really put my mind at ease. When I checked in, Roger was there to help me and was happy we made it in. The room is clean and cute. They are pet friendly and welcomed my dog and made sure we had water and towels for him. This turned out to be a really great stay for last minute booking for one night. Arrived a little after midnight with my two cats. The young man at the front desk was very kind and accommodating. While the small parking lot was close to full, I was still able to grab one of the least few spots. The room was clean and very comfortable and the neighbors were very quiet. I will say in the morning it got pretty noisy due to the busy street. Maybe book a room closer to the back of the motel as it may have much less street noise in the morning. But overall still giving this stay a 5 out of 5. It’s tough to find a decent hotel that’s pet friendly that also won’t break the bank but at the same time has good reviews. I was initially little unsure. On work assignment and budget but b/c of price thought I’d try it. I was beyond surprised. Room super clean, bed is comfy. It’s on major road but at night it’s pretty quiet. Small hotel, free parking. Owner/mgr has been so nice, so accommodating when my schedule changed. I feel very safe here. Walked to store next door late again felt safe. No people wandering around It’s been a great place for me to relax after work and I’ve ended up staying long than I thought because it’s been so easy and comfortable here.
