Five star service. Like everybody else says in their reviews, the service here is the best I’ve had at any hotel I’ve stayed. And I am still here for a few more days.
After battling crowded airport lines, a long flight in a compacted plane seat, and then crawling through the gauntlet of rush hour traffic from LAX (cheaper than flying into Burbank), I just wanted to get checked in, chuck off my shoes, and swan dive into a clean hotel bed. The staff not only made that possible with quick valet parking and check-in, but they also made me feel so very welcome. Got a nifty goody bag and everything. Not something I’d expect from a hotel chain these days but a very welcome surprise.
For those who saw the location on Google Maps, and thought “Naw this is in the middle of a concrete nowhere”—I was worried about it too but honestly Burbank isn’t the Seychelles, so if you’re expecting Instagram influencer-worthy vistas you’re doing Burbank wrong. It’s great value and it’s a very accessible hub area to quickly get to where you need to go. Everybody here isn’t spending all their time in the hotel, they’re heading off to Universal Studios or elsewhere. So yeah, don’t let the location turn you off.
I think other Hilton family hotels should use this Hampton as their model for hospitality and customer-first interactions.
The hotel room was very clean. You can see some wear on trim and accent elements, but it’s all cosmetic and very minor. From a customer perspective it feels like they invest their money in updating and maintaining much more important items, like functioning AC, clean elevators, newer flooring, etc. I’ll gladly take those over some updated door trim.
The breakfast is the same you’d expect at any other Hampton Inn place. Decent stuff if you need a quick meal. It was a bit busy this morning because there was a charter bus of school kids who came in last night for some event, so I don’t expect that level of crowdedness to be the norm. I did see another review about an older man who wasn’t very polite, and if that’s the same person who was there this morning I have to say having him there was a positive experience because he managed to keep the place orderly when you have 30+ young teenagers and limited chaperones. Most were chill, but I think we all remember how we were when we were teens, especially in a group and out to have fun. And there are limits in people-pleasing hospitality when guests’ actions can affect other guests. Hats off to that guy for keeping things organized and functioning, because a couple of the kids were definitely getting too loud with swearing—and hey I love swearing—but friend I’m just trying to get my breakfast in peace in a busy public space. So when he politely called them out on the language they apologized and everybody went on with their quest to get fed.
The parking is valet-only but it’s in a secured, covered parking garage.
Not much else to say, other than if you’re going to stay in Burbank stay here. Easily the best dollar-to-quality ratio stay I’ve had in the LA area. And don’t be tricked into staying a hotel closer to the Burbank airport. You might lose some of the freeway noise but you’ll also be trading for airplane departure/arrival noise which I think is worse. Freeway noise isn’t that bad and it becomes more like white noise. Had no problem...
Read moreI want to start by saying that there front staff Xitlali and Noemi were horrible . When I walked in no one acknowledged me or my family. As if they were bother. We had just driven 400 miles and were a little early but tired from the drive . I had called to see if my room was available for early check in and they said yes over the phone . It looked like maybe they were changing shift but I don’t know for sure . But regardless let me go on . As I proceed to check in counter the girl behind desk told me it was to early to check in but I let her know I called and was told it was okay . So then she started the process . She said I needed a deposit of $100 dollars and ask why since I had already paid for my 2 nights but she looked bother when I wanted to know why . Then she told me it’s a $27 dollar charge for my car per night , so I asked if can take my car out as many times as I want or do I get charged additionally. Again she got bothered . Then she tried to give me my room key without directions and she looked upset again . Like what the heck your front service do your job ! So I asked again what way to my room … Next I asked do you have a pool and is it heated .. She said yes . I asked what time is breakfast and was about to write it on my ke holder to the room so I ask for a pen and she looked confused. Well then she tells me the information was inside the holder for the key . She could of told me that to begin with . Usually at check in they tell you where to find information and direct you to your room this girl was bad. Bad customer service . So after I get all information .. me and the family go to see where everything was at to get familiar . We looked for the gym it was down due to repairs , then there was a sign that pointed out to the left by the gym but the pool was not there . So we went back to the front desk and asked the girl huffed as if was bother then said I will show you . But I felt like I had to beg to get customer service . .. I forgot to mention Arcesio outside parking your car , gave me all the information those others girls didn’t want to give and explain in details .. Now that’s customer service .. he even told me about a garden close by and restaurants. Arcesio was not front desk but did Xitlalis and Noemi’s job . Customer service. So let me continue the room I got had 2 beds very clean and comfortable about $656 for 2 night . My sister got the deluxe which has the 2 beds plus a sofa much more space and felt like you were at home on your couch watching TV. There’s an area on the second floor with chair and couches .. very nice oh and ice . They had cookies at night unless you read the little paper in your key holder you won’t know. Breakfast was great !! Every morning was something g different. There’s also Large bottles of shampoo , conditioner, body wash and lotion . Just incase your small bottles run out or you forgot to pack . Overall I give this hotel a 5 without Xitkalis and Noemi’s Customer Service .. Great Location !! I order pizza from Shakies to my room and it was delicious!!! I added a picture of the information that will help ..Hope my review helps !! Leave your comment...
Read moreStayed here with my family while in town to visit with friends and absolutely enjoyed our stay at this Hampton Inn. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Burbank International Airport and in a well trafficked part of town. The entrance is well marked and the parking is Valet ONLY. The valet cost is now $25/day PLUS $2.50/Day for taxes, plus any tips you elect to give the attendants. I found that ALL of the valet attendants were extremely professional, prompt, and courteous. I normally do not like when hotels charge for parking, and this is an issue for me, since the Diamond Honors parking is marked, but not available. it would appear that at one point, this hotel may have had park-on-your own options and replaced it.||The entire staff at the hotel was simply top notch from the check in team, to the breakfast host, the housekeeping and the person replacing the towels at the pool. Everyone was simply the best. We got to the hotel a few hours early, but they let us check in since our room was available. I honestly cannot say anything but great things for the staff at this location. ||Breakfast in the morning was your typical Hampton Inn fare of waffles, some sort of breakfast meat (sausage every day of our stay), an egg-like substance, cereal, potatoes, and breakfast pastries. We ate it 2 out of the 3 days we were there and it was okay. The only down side to this hotel is there was a wedding party there during our stay and they were extremely loud. We could hear them running through the halls and being generally disruptive after 100am. Not something the hotel did, but something to be aware of as the walls were thinnish and you could hear other rooms' conversations very easily. ||The price is not cheap. You're looking at somewhere between $200-$350/night (I blame California) and that's a very expensive entry-level mid tier hotel. Overall, we would definitely stay here again for the staff, but we will be making financial sacrifices for that decision...
