This was my first time here and I brought my mom with me after her surgery and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place whatsoever! The staff, super sweet and super friendly, they definitely work hard over there no joke; we saw a couple employees coming in and out of the kitchen doors with tons of pastries and it looked amazing! I know there’s a couple older women but they are SUPER. SWEET. Even the younger one too who assisted me was beyooond lovely. This was our first time here and we LOVED it! Definitely try the “trending desserts” that has been popping up all over social media. My mom got a whole basket full of stuff (legit came out with possibly more than 80$ worth of stuff LMAO) I got the mango, the cacao bean aaaand the pear :) Mango? YES. The mousse inside is so light and fluffy and I was eating the inside with a little spoon ohmyGOD it was gooood! The cacao bean? The chocolate mousse was DEVINE. No jokes. PROMISE! The pear was beautiful too and I love how they have soft little shells to bite into I really reaaally loved it. Amazing pear compote inside, they’re like little pear pieces but I promise you they’re super good. Good people, tons of smiles, yes they may be a little quiet but there’s nothing wrong with that. Just a bunch of hard-working people with tons of kindness and the desserts to match & even top over everything overall. This place is a Chef’s kiss. I loved everything there. Seriously! I was planning on going to Tu-Cha too before this place— And the reviews were 50/50 and I read the reviews a little for this one and I gave it a shot. Not disappointed at all! I’d definitely recommend this place (that’s why I brought my mom) Definitely try it! The desserts, employees, customer service and presentation will make it worth the while.

Mind you too we came all the way from the IE (but also due to the fact that she needed her surgery out here where we came) and I mean WAY far into the IE. Let me show you this magic.

Our desserts were in PERFECT shape for the whole 2-2 1/2 hour drive back! No joke! I’ll attach pictures below.

Thank you for treating us so kindly for our first time here we’ll definitely be back forsure! Keep all your staff too PLEASE they were BEYOND sweet and it’s rare to find that nowadays!

Love & kisses from over here way...

Stepping into Altadena Express Bakery is like finding a hidden treasure tucked in the bustling streets of Burbank. The aroma of fresh bread in the air is enough to mesmerize any passersby, luring them into the heart of this unassuming bakery.

The warm and inviting atmosphere is complemented by the genuinely friendly staff. Their product knowledge is admirable, and they always ensure that customers get exactly what they’re looking for, whether it's your first visit or your hundredth.

Altadena Express Bakery stands out for its selection of traditionally baked bread. Their lavash is impressively thin and delicate, subtly flavored, and makes a perfect companion for any meal. The matnakash is exceptional, with its golden exterior and soft, pillowy interior that brings a sense of comfort with every bite.

Their range of pastries is just as delightful. The gata, a sweet, buttery delight, is a treat that should not be missed. It's just the right amount of sweet, perfect for those mid-afternoon cravings. On the other hand, the perok offers a savory counterpoint, with its unique, rich flavors sure to intrigue.

While the focus is on the baked goods, the coffee deserves a special mention as well. It's clear that as much attention is given to the brew as to the bake. Whether you're looking for a bold kick of caffeine or a gentle, flavorful sip, the coffee is consistently excellent.

What's more, the bakery's clean and organized setup speaks volumes about their commitment to providing a safe and comfortable experience for every customer.

Finding Altadena Express Bakery has been a joy, and it's quickly become a favorite go-to spot. It's more than a bakery, it's a welcoming community where the love for good bread and pastries is palpable in every corner. Whether you're a local or just passing through Burbank, do yourself a favor and stop by - your taste buds...

Extremely Disappointed – Cake Disaster on My Baby’s Baptism Day

I ordered a cake that was supposed to look like the one in the first picture — a beautiful semi-naked cake decorated with fresh flowers. Unfortunately, what I received was completely different and an absolute disappointment.

The bakery said they don’t have box for the cake and it hadn’t been kept in the fridge before pickup. As a result, the frosting was soft and the entire cake slid to one side, unable to stand upright even for a few minutes. By the time we tried to reach the car, the cake had collapsed completely (as seen in the photo).

The lady who I placed the order with, blamed my husband for “not being able to carry it,” even though the real issue was that the cake was too fragile and not refrigerated properly.

This happened on the day of the event, leaving us with no cake at all for our baby’s special celebration. For something that was meant to be so meaningful, the lack of care and professionalism was...
