King's Lodge Motel — Hotel in Los Angeles

Extremely rude to me for absolutely no reason! I just called to inquire about vacancy and I was met with ignorance, yelling and rudeness that was totally uncalled for.

I have honestly never had such a poor experience with ANYONE, for ANY REASON like the experience I just had with these people. I explained to the woman who answered - after calling back the second time when she’d yelled no vacancy and slammed the phone down... - that she was very aggressive and rude and that being that way towards people was not good for business. I am working with a non- profit and wanted to rent a space for a family that has undergone a great deal of bad luck due to COVID-19.

During our second call as she continued to yell at me and speak over me I explained to her that she should not mistreat people this way... You never know who you’re speaking to and should be nicer to callers, she continued to yell and slammed the phone down again. I am so disappointed in these people. How indignant! I was raised in the temple and she is NOT a very good representation at all. If you are going through a tough time during COVID or want to sponsor someone, it may not be the best idea to call these people. You could get cursed out for simply asking about...

We booked in here for our first night in the states after an overnight flight from NZ, therfore just looking for somewhere to sleep. ||First impression is not very flash, looks rundown and a bit of a dodgy neighbourhood. ||Once in the room, it was basic but clean and tidy in the room. Fridge, microwave and TV were all in good condition. The beds were by far the best thing about the place, I wasn't expecting much but the beds were so comfortable and it was arguably one of the best beds I slept in during our two weeks away. ||Negatives:|- Neighbourhood was a bit rough, but we had a car so missed most of it. |- Bathroom was ok, want 100% clean but was clean enough for what we needed and expected. |- No cutlery or plates and only a couple Styrofoam cups. Made using the microwave the following morning an interesting challenge. |||All in all, if you are looking for a basic motel to rest your head this place ticks the boxes, just don't go in expecting it...

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. It was clear that they had done a nice job remodeling some time in the not to distant past. I would stay here again, I would simply request to not be on the outside of the building, as the noise from the people camping outside on the street was off-putting.
