This place will be hearing from the BBB and KFC corporate.
I was on the phone with my mother while she was going through this KFC's drive-thru waiting to place her order, she told me to hold on while she placed her order, but I could hear everything.
My mother frequents this place and always ends up placing her order in spanish because the reps usually speak spanish. This time she went ahead and started with "Por Favor me podrias dar" (Please could I get).... when she was interrupted by the KFC employee on the other end by the name of Linda who responded "Speak ENGLISH we are in CALIFORNIA!" (with an extremely rude tone). My mom asked "What the heck?" to which the employee Linda responded "C'mon we're in Cali, learn to speak English!". My mom offended, proceeded to place her order in ENGLISH! I heard all of this while I was on the phone with her.
The employee was chuckling as my mother was placing her order and proceeded to the next window.
My mother is an American citizen and speaks ENGLISH AND SPANISH. There is absolutely NO REASON why this kind of behavior should be tolerated, and no reason to why ANYONE should be spoken to in that way.
When my mother approached the window to receive her order, which she was planning on taking, she was greeted by an employee named Alex (female), whom she asked if she was the one who took her order. Alex said NO and out popped the person who took her order and instead of apologizing to my mother she said "Well I don't speak spanish!" my mother responded "there is no reason for you to talk to me like that" and drove off.
This kind of behavior is obnoxious and it's incredible that such a huge corporation like KFC who has been around for so many years, allows people like these to represent their company, ruining their reputation. As a business owner I would look at this place and wonder, "why does it have 3 stars?". As you are to imagine, this is the last time KFC receives business from my mother, myself, my family and anyone who we come across and share this story with.
In the meanwhile we will be filing complaints with the BBB, KFC corporate and any other way we can, it was offensive, racist and embarrassing, considering everyone on the street and the cars behind my mother could here this...
Read more1)This location consistently closes early. It’s okay if you want to close at an earlier time, just post that you’re changing times. Don’t advertise and say you’re open to a certain time and then not be. 2) No real point in going 2 hours before closing anyways. They stop making chicken so you’ll either get the dry leftovers or you won’t get chicken at all. At least 5 times I have been to this location within the last 2 hours before closing, I have been met with “we aren’t making anymore” or “we only have tenders now”. Read moreI was SOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED in this KFC. (San Pedro) I ordered a "Chicken Pot Pie" and to my surprise after I drove off and began to eat it in the car I notice something wasn't right about it. The chicken inside of the pot pie was not the normal chicken breast or skinless chicken meat that is usually inside but this stale battered old tasting chicken strip meat chopped up and just thrown in there. It was the ABSOLUTE WORST. I tried calling the # on my receipt cause I was too far to turn around once I realized it wasn't right. The phone just rang with NO ANSWER and I called several times.
