The facility is old and the amenities are very dingy for the price. Obviously built in the 50s or early 60s the inn is really screaming for a remodel. There is an extremely low attempt to make the rooms presentable or at least something more than a back woods motel. Compared to others we have stayed at in Burbank on Hollywood Way, the space is clean and insect free. Granted it’s a layover for the cruise line passengers for a single nights stay and they try to make it comfortable with room service. However there is no elevator for the 2nd floor if you’re handicapped or have mobility issues. One warning sign are the security bars on the 1st floor windows which indicates a high possibility of theft. The rate is about $100 a night on average which is high since Motel 6 and others are far more comfortable and modern for a lower price. While there is a table and two chairs, the table is seriously worn with missing pieces to the finish and the chairs are fabric covered in a cheap attempt to make them more than they are. All in all the stay is what it is since there are limited choices of hotels and inns in the area. So if you’re looking to stay in a motel that is a throw back to the old days of Route 66 but with the chance of security issues, this is better than other choice along the 405. We stayed the night and in the morning discovered someone tried to smash open the passenger window and damaged the glass doing it. So, we will not be staying there again and even with their camera system which sometimes worked the owners still did nothing to make anything right or try to...

If you are looking for ..... Overpriced Accommodations, this Motel is NOT for you.

If you are looking for a Very reasonably priced (using CA standards) stay for a few days, before and after a Cruise, due to Management, THIS is the Spot for you.

To begin with, due to a pending Snow Storm in Illinois, I felt it would be best if we left before the Storm.

Having booked an already filled Guest Harbor Inn for 2 days, I called and spoke to SAM. After explaining my problem, he said "give him a few hours and he will see what he can do.”

To my surprise, when I called back, he told me he could accommodate my request, and within the conversation, realized I had a Mobility Issue and would have a room on the Ground floor.

When we arrived everything was as he said.

The thing that Really impressed me was when we needed a Taxi to pick us up to go to a nearby restaurant, Sam actually waited outside in the Rain, to make sure the Taxi picked us up right by our room, so we wouldn’t have to walk to the street in the rain.

I will beyond all doubt, always use Guest Harbor Inn, for all our future stays in San Pedro. ...

Spent 5 days here while visiting our kids in San Pedro. We were tired of paying high prices in Long Beach. We tried the Studio 6 which we thought would be better than the normal Motel 6, but was the worst night (thank God only 1) of our life. We stopped here to check out the rooms before we rented for our next trip and they were tastefully updated though signs of oldness were still visible. Big screen tv with free Netflix, nice bathroom, small towels. Water was hot and bed was comfortable. Please note lots of reviews are older. We stayed June 2023. Management was friendly and worked hard to please us. San Pedro Cafe, walking distance 2 blocks away is awesome. This will be our place whenever we come to visit. Considering this is a cruise ship port, there are not many choices for a reasonable priced, clean stay.

Overall this is a good hotel to stay at. We stayed before going on cruise and the day after we got back from the cruise. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Come with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Queen bed is comfortable enough. (Personally would have like a king size) The hotel is located close to the port making it easy to catch the cruise. We dropped everyone off at the cruise terminal and parked my truck for the duration of the cruise at the hotel. It was only 10 bucks a day, opposed to 20 at the port. Grabbed a lime scooter and rode back to the port for about 6 bucks. Hotel attendant said cab would be $11. Hotel is close proximity to restaurants in easy walking distance.

If I could give them no stars I would. This has to be one of the worst places I have stayed at. Over priced for what you get. The bed is uncomfortable I woke up in so much pain, it was hard to get sleep, there is a cookie pan sheet underneath the coffee maker. We walked in the room had flies everywhere. We honestly found ways to stay out of the room till we had to sleep. Thank goodness it was for one night. For 20 bucks more go stay at the crowne plaza and it's closer to the port for those who are cruising. I would never recommend this place. It's really false advertising.
