I've seen multiple musicals and concerts at this historical venue and I highly recommend the experience. It is a very clean, classic theatre. The stage is about 5 feet high from the orchestra floor, so even the row head a full view of the actors and sets, in a musical or play, or the band, in a concert. Also, if you are at a reserved general admission event where the seats are not assigned, don't be afraid to check the front rows. I knew that the singer, Jeff Mangum, would be standing at the front of stage left. There were several hundred people waiting in line ahead of us to get in, so I expected to be in the middle to back rows one I found a seat. Read moreThe Warner Grand Theater is now 90 years old. It has been partially restored to its original grandeur and the work is continuing. But go there now. It is wonderful.
Located on 6th Street in old town San Pedro its neon calls to you. They have some great plays and other events there. The box office and the front is original as is some of the carpet. Some areas have been restored and the work continues, but you can get a comfortable seat and there is not a bad seat in the house. They have concessions in the lobby.
The theater is kept super clean and parking is on the street or a nearby lot.
The ceiling is original and it is stunning.
There is just not one thing not to love about this little part of San Pedro. You...
Read morei am a huge movie fan and was there for the local film festival oct 6. The venue gets a star for its ancient art deco beauty. It seems like things were shown out of order. It looked a bit blurry. The ratio was off. The sound quality was not of modern standards. Whoever was in the booth showing the movies was horrible. They should run through the films several times to make sure they don't ruin film lovers experience. They should have someone that knows how to run the projectors and use the...
