ANY reviews with negative content is garbage. I'll start by saying that. I've traveled all over and have stayed in 2, 3, 4, and 5 star hotels...Experiences of all different types from 4 stars with filthy rooms that should have been 2 stars.. to 2 stars that were 4 star condition.. Everything. Out of all of the stays we've had, LOS GATOS INN IS ONE OF THE TOP 5. The Hotel is located in central Los Gatos. Just step right out and your seconds away from fantastic quaint lunch, brunch, coffee shops, etc. The rooms are perfect size and much larger than most. The bedding is always clean, as well as the entire grounds of the building. The rooms are COZY and relaxing. The decore gives such a warm experience. Not like the modern alien type where everything is all white with one circle or a plastic chair. This is the definition of cozy!! The rooms come with windows to let the sunlight in, the kitchens are prepped with all you need, and the staff is awesome. They are super helpful and very kind. Overall, the value you receive is AMAZING. I've paid two to three times as much and the place was a dump!! I love love LOVE this place and will come back every and any time necessary!! Remember, if you're having a bad day, or bad week...please do yourself, the business, and interested consumers a favor by reflecting on your own behavior before writing a review and or rating. Often times people storm off quick to write a scathing review on the spot and boiling over. Not thinking of how their own actions are usually a direct reflection of what service they may receive. Or maybe think twice about what transpired to see if you could have said or went about anything differently. Everyone has bad days and weeks. That's ok. But how we treat others..even in the smallest of instances..can really effect someone..even you..Give it some time. You're better than that. And hey, if you find it in your heart to do so- call and apologize. KINDNESS goes a LONG WAY. AND WE ALL NEED IT. They're a small business..we should support one another not bring each other down. ESPECIALLY today. So hey, if you're in the neighborhood, visit The Los Gatos Inn!! You will not be...

Sat on the curb for 45 min until someone arrived to take to sign down. She saw me as she opened the door a crack with "OH, check in is at 3pm" and tried to close the door in my face. I managed to squeak in "could any room possibly be ready, we're exhausted" ... She let us in reluctantly, only to get on the phone with someone and very loudly and obviously complain that yes someone was asking to "check in 2 hours early!" (I've been travelling for decades and this request is always treated with a yes or no, not sure where the attitude was needed). They also wouldn't let us check in without a photo copy of my passport, which felt pretty shady?
Turns out there was a room ready, and we promptly fell asleep. During our nap I received several panicked phone calls and an email that they hadn't asked for my credit card at check in and they needed me to "rectify the situation ASAP" We were staying multiple nights so not sure on the panic, but when I checked back in the same woman at the front desk looked at me like I had three heads and said "no you're fine" so I have no idea who was calling me.
The rooms are clean but very dated. Beds are the old spring coil with your great aunt Gladys' bed spread. We did have a comfortable stay in the room, it was quiet and the courtyard was lovely. As we have family in Los Gatos we will try another hotel next time after...
Read moreHidden Gem! ( + adding to my earlier review, discovered they offer protected wifi, a rare extra not found everywhere!) I must agree with other reviewers ~ when reviewing a "hidden gem" like the Wonderful Los Gatos Garden Inn, there's a fear that it may backfire and one might find it harder to get a room!... But I can't keep from singing the praises of this place. Amazingly clean, & the rooms are arranged so that you feel as if you are visiting your favorite Aunt - old fashioned lovely furniture, fully stocked with real dinnerware and kitchen implements, Keurig coffee makers, microwave + mini fridge suite set up, remote control heating/cooling + HD t.v.! All for an incredible price. They also have Disabled Accessible rooms. I don't know how they fit all the charm, comfort and wonderful customer care into this delightfully "tucked away" location (walking distance to all downtown amenities - the History of the Inn is fascinating) but they pull it off beautifully. I'm a...
