This hotel is a total bait and switch unfortunately. The reviews and photos we saw before booking this hotel depicted a beautiful, new hotel with clean, bright rooms, and that is just not what we found. We were put on the second level, which from the moment the elevator doors open is apparently well worn. The carpet is stained up, the halls are dimly lit, and our room was similar to an older Motel Six room. I couldn't believe we paid extra and drove further to stay there when we passed dozens of other nice hotels on the way. The room is lit with flourescent bulbs, the grout was dirty in bathroom, rust galore in the tub, hair on the bathroom floor and in the sheets, stains all over the carpet and arm chair. Rust and muck in every corner. Really gross. I gave two stars for a nice lobby, friendly night time host, cold water in the mini fridge, and tasty breakfast ($12). Be careful with this one! Bring your own toiletries, ask for the nicest room maybe.

We had a staff member let themselves into our room in the morning (around/before 8 am), without knocking or announcing themselves. We booked this as a last minute stay while traveling and checked in after 10pm. I woken up by a female staff member coming into my room the next morning, after checking the hallway this staff member did not appear to be part of their cleaning staff. They had no toiletries or cleaning materials and appeared to be walking with just their keys. I contacted the hotel through the Hilton website, as this is a mistake that most management teams would want to be made aware of. I also informed the management team of the long dark hairs left behind in the shower of an otherwise, relatively clean room. I did not receive a response from their management team.

My friend and I are here to visit some distilleries for the "Kentucky Bourbon Trail". She bought the hotel I bought the tickets. They actually accidentally double charged her but they were so sweet and helpful. They fixed her issues and offered us complimentary things. I appriciate good customer service and how quickly they resolved the issue. They checked back on us twice to inform us the manager wasnt in but the girl at the front desk assured us she was going to work it out and give us a call and did. We also checked out the bar they have such great and knowledgeable staff. The lady at the bar suggested a few places to check out we did go and have fun. Thanks so much! Will come back here.

December 2021

Staying here while working at KTP.

Pros:

The staff is super friendly and welcoming. 10/10 service. Close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel sits behind a large shopping plaza/mall/whatever you call it. I look forward to some shopping after work today. The hotel is clean. Comfortable bed. The matress is firmer than I'd like but I didn't wake up with back pain. Nice pool and fitness area. The fitness area has a bench and a bunch of free weights.

Cons & neutral:

The place could use some fixing. It appears that there has been some water damage in my room (1st floor). The bottom of the bathroom door is bubbling out. So is the mirror frame at the desk. All of the non stainless metal (bottom of the closet mirrors and bathroom door hinges) is rusting. The mini fridge makes a terrible noise but I fixed that by pushing it up against the wall. I find it odd that they charge extra for breakfast. I travel all over the place for work and this is the first time I've experienced this. The breakfast is bland. I understand why they do that though. I'd rather add some extra salt & pepper than be served something that has been over seasoned. The "restaurant" is only open from 5-10pm. I haven't checked it out yet but calling it a restaurant seems to be stretching it. Maybe it'll surprise me though. When checking in, I was told they are not currently doing daily room service. Which is totally fine by me as I always put out the "do not disturb" sign and request to not be bothered. The reason is because of the pandemic. They have to protect their staff and customers as much as they can. You can request housekeeping though.

Overall, I would stay here again. It's close to the jobsite and the friendliness of the staff certainly makes me overlook the...

Disgusting and rude! We stayed with our son’s hockey team. When we arrived I wanted to go straight to bed. The bedding was disgusting! Definitely not washed. Little black hairs all over the quilt, top sheep and fitted sheet. They were wrinkly and stained. Pillows had stains and makeup on them. My husband called front desk and requested a change, they said they were short staffed and he would have to come down to get the sheets and do it himself. Our teammate had to switch rooms 4 times due to bed bugs. 1st room come to find out was right next to ours. We should’ve been alerted and moved! We then found dead bed bugs all over where our sons were sleeping. They chose to do nothing. My son went down to ask for 5 towels and the front desk guy said, “Jesus Christ”! What a way to talk to a 13 year old! The extremely over priced breakfast was beyond disgusting! This was the rudest and dirtiest place we’ve stayed in and we stay in a lot for both our boys travel hockey and baseball teams. I will never let our teams select a Hilton...

The only thing stopping me from leaving a 5-star review is how we were being rushed out of our room on the day of check-out by seemingly every staff member in the building. We requested, and were granted, a late check-out time of 1 p.m. because we had a late flight that day. Our son has autism and we wanted to avoid making him sit in the airport terminal for several hours.

Housekeeping knocked on our door twice before 11 a.m., and shortly after, a staff member decided to open our door without knocking. This was alarming and pretty invasive. I guess we're lucky that neither my wife nor teenage daughter were undressed at the time. Our room keys were deactivated before we checked out. The grumpy front desk manager then called our room at 12:50 p.m. and asked why we were still there. This is a man who clearly does not enjoy working in his chosen field.

Other than that, the rooms were exceptionally clean and the server for the lobby breakfast was especially pleasant...
