I stayed February 18-19, 2022, I stay about 60 nights a year in IHG hotels.
The owner of this property does not care about the guest, it shows! Ownership was not present and according to the staff no one has been appointed to take care of details or problems.
Management let a guest bring in 2 large dogs that barked regularly and were aggressive towards guest. When I asked the front desk about it, they said they could not kick the dog owner out. I guess they were going to wait until someone was bitten and it was OK that they barked.
This hotel was built quickly and without final quality checks. It does NOT feel like a Staybridge Suites. It has a cold box feel and the rooms are way smaller square footage than a normal Staybridge. Even though the hotel is less than a year old the room needed work because it was never completed when built. In my room there was no trim around the wall heat/AC unit (simply unfinished), there was a foot long electrical wire randomly hanging out of one wall, there was a manufacturing sticker still on a cabinet next to the dishwasher. In the shower they had installed the soap dispenser mount with the scratch protective shiping film still coving the stainless steel (I see this regularly at other properties as well).
The pantry area by the front desk was almost empty - staff said it isn't anyone's job to order restock snacks etc. Breakfast was lackluster, out of some items.
One elevator was not working when I checked in and the other was very slow - I ended up using the stairs during my stay.
It was a clean place to sleep - don't expect anything more. If you have a problem during your stay don't expect to find anyone capable or willing to...
Read moreStayed at this hotel before and had a really nice time. This particular stay however was not without it's problems. Did not have a telephone in the room which made for a few issues and when I notified the front desk, it was not until the next day when a phone was delivered. Even at that, it still didn't work upon plugging it in to the wall. because there was no phone in the room in the beginning, I speculate that the hotel was already aware of an issue with the phone. Even though I contacted the front desk about the problem, no replacement phone had been issued to the room prior to my departure for a two day stay
upon arrival, there were towels on the floor in the bathroom that shouldn't have been there as the room should have been cleaned properly prior to my arrival or not given out to me as ready to be occupied.
After checking out and leaving the hotel, I noticed that I had left a bottle of wine in the refrigerator back at the hotel. I called the front desk to inform them of this and that I would be coming back to retrieve it. When I got back to the hotel, the desk personnel handed me the bottle of which I noticed had been opened and a small amount, about a 4th of a cup or a few sips were gone. I checked the seal to see if by chance it was faulty and it had been broken. There was no doubt in my mind that someone had opened the bottle. The desk personnel said that's how it was given to her, so I let her keep it as I was not going to trust that since the seal had been broken, the contents had not been tampered with. Needless to say that I was more than disappointed because of...
Read moreThis hotel is brand new. It's very clean and well laid out for the most part. I feel like they are missing another elevator at the other end of the building. The first night there, it was quite a shocker to see and hear how close the incoming planes were to the roof of the building due to the proximity to the airport.
My only complaint is the shower/shower head. It's a large shape and no way to change the stream like a smaller shower head. The water pressure is great, but not if you are washing your face and trying to keep your hair dry. The shower is also an odd shape and it's weird to maneuver around in. No tub, just stand up shower.
They didn't offer the usual breakfast buffet they advertise (because of COVID) but there were frozen Jimmy Dean sandwiches, muffins, instant oatmeal, granola bars, and danishes. 2 weeks prior we stayed in a different Staybridge Suites and they still offered 2 hot food options for breakfast. I don't know if it's because this location is still so new and maybe haven't hired someone to cook, or their COVID rules are more strict.
The guy working kept telling us they were completely booked, but I know that was not true. Maybe they were completely booked for the rooms they actually had ready and available but the parking lot was way too empty and we hardly saw any of the other people staying there. There was NO WAY they were completely booked. I'm pretty sure the hotel rooms were not completely finished and furnished. Really what they did was over charge for the room we stayed in because of this.
Great location if you are going to the Expo Center or...
