Always good home cooking and the prices are still reasonable. On top of that, if your at a loss for something to buy as a surprise gift without looking like you bought it at a gas station or grocery store, they have a selection of out of the ordinary gifts that can get you out of the dog house and back in the heart of your better half. Also a great place to create outstanding Christmas stockings that will make them thankful that they picked you. The staff were beyond the normal, customer service actually still exists in these little protected clouds of heaven. Just old fashioned family feel to the whole experience. Saleena was our server and for being near closing time was still very friendly and closely paid attention without being over intrusive. You don't see that in young people very often. She was so good at her job I paid more for the tip than I did for our dinner/breakfast, my wife is a big breakfast for dinner kinda gal. Which is another great thing about Cracker Barrel, you can order anything on the menu and they won't be saying, breakfast ended at 11 or something like that. What more can I say, oh, our cashier was able set aside a gift I was going to buy until we were done with our meal, also with a friendly smile. Thank you much Haleigh. With the abilities your using there I'm sure you'll go far in what ever field of business, and yes everything you could possibly imagine even the arts are business in the end. Keep up the power of the good disposition, it will...
Read moreThey’re just some days where you want something comforting, and the comfort food from Cracker Barrel. I had gone for a hike and on my way back I decided to make a stop at this location. Now one thing I have learned is that Cracker Barrel has an online waitlist. So that way if you know you’re headed there you can put your name on the list. On this particular day, there was no wait. It’s that classic Cracker Barrel ambiance and there was a little puzzle on the table and I was left with the menu. I haven’t been to Cracker Barrel in a really long time and I found it interesting that the menu now has alcohol. There’s mimosas and Jack Daniels drinks. I won’t hold that against them. Cracker Barrel also modified the menu to include some really nice Shareables for the table including fried pickle chips, cheese curds, and biscuit donuts. I ordered the Momma special which had pancakes, eggs, and your choice of meat. The nice part about the Cracker Barrel menu now is that they have a plant-based substitute for meat with impossible sausage. It was actually very tasty. I was very pleasantly surprised. The pancakes were light and fluffy. It comes with its own little singleserve syrup, and you can also ask for some fancy syrups. My meal was delicious. I really enjoyed it. And my coffee was getting constantly refilled while I was sitting there. This was a really great experience and I had an...
Read moreWe have never had a bad experience with a cracker barrel in the past and sense we were visiting the city for a surgery in the morning we were happy to see a familiar place to get in a good meal before the cut off time for not being able to eat, unfortunately they say there is a first for everything and this experience went to the opposite end of the spectrum that is cracker barrel, from slow service to cold and crusty food that had been sitting under the heat lamp waiting for the server to get around to bringing it out, for instance the pancakes shouldn't have had a hard crusty layer on top and be cold to the dried out hashbrown casserole to trying to cut the hamburger steak and it being so hard that the plate broke before the steak. Even the person that ended up bringing the food obviously didn't want to and had a bad attitude about doing it, there really is no call for slamming plates down on the table at all. But for some credit it only took just over a hour from getting sat to getting the appetizers that we ordered when we sat and only another 45 minutes to get cold and crusty food. This is probably the training location for what not to do, you will probably be better off trying a different location. Only positive was there was a lot of available parking, I guess that should have been a warning, I feel this location survives because of the reputation of the name...
