Was in town for Louder than Life festival. The hotel was within walking distance so that was worth it and perfect because parking and traffic was horrible HOWEVER the stay was less than perfect. 1st of all we get there to check in and the girl at the counter is short with us. 2nd why does the lobby smell like a nursing home (like ointment and doo doo) thirdly we NEVER got housekeeping I finally told the girl and she just said “uhhhh” but no one ever came when we were told they would!! 🫠 lastly the filter in the ac (my hubby is a AC tech so he always checks) was caked full!!!! Picture attached - it was overpriced but figured due to concert in area and like I said being within walking distance was worth the smelly lobby, lack of housekeeping, and caked filter- my hubby cleaned it for you all BTW!

Overall, it would have been a nice place to stay. Bed was comfy, room was spacious. But there were roaches. We immediately vacated once we noticed that there were bugs. They said theyd give us another room but there wasnt a guarantee of no more bugs. We ended up leaving after asking for a refund. They told us to call the next day to speak with the manager. Played phone tag for the next day and a half. Finally got ahold of the manager and he refused a refund, stating there were no bugs and we had no proof. Wish they had better customer service. Here are some pictures of the roaches.

Found a bed bug and was told that I needed to hire a pest control company. My wife has bites on her hands and wrists. I would suggest paying a little more and going somewhere else. Jay Patel the "manager" made it sound like it was our fault and responsibility. Then as a kicker while looking for more bugs, we found the mattress covers to be stained. Nasty, I promise I will never stay at a super 8 again. The only good to come of it was the lesson leared about not staying there ever again. Did I mention I had two small children with me as well.

While the location to the Expo Center is great...the staff and the rooms are terrible. First of all let me start by saying we were traveling for a b ball tourney and found out last min that we wouldn't have all our players so while enroute to Louisville I called trying to cancel and while I understand the cancel policy we had booked 3 rooms for our stay and the staff on the phone wouldn't budge on the cancel which was fine whatever so we decided to come on and pull some players from our other lower teams. So we get to our room and get checked in, gentleman was nice enough however...the lobby is very stuffy and smelled somewhat strange and it's hot outside so when u walk in to a hotel lobby you would expect for it to be inviting and cool/warm depending on the weather outside. It was also so stuffy as was the elevator and the halls. Got to our floor, hallway was very dimly lit and smelled strange as well. Before bringing our things in to the room I always check the rooms first, doesnt matter if it is a 5 star hotel or a 1 star. Entered room and it was 85 degrees in there the air had been turned off while its during the hottest time of the year. I'm all for saving money as a business owner but mind u I am paying money to stay in your facility...prepare the rooms. So I went directly to the air unit to turn it on and there were ants crawling all over it. Turned on the unit and again the room smelled pretty terrible. I had read that this place has apparently been updated it's still very dated and not very well kept up. The other family in my party came to the door way and said hers had bed bugs in the room so we hightailed it outta there. We came back down to the lobby and told the gentleman what was going on. He told us it would be 4 to 5 business days b4 our money went back. Okay whatever fine we wanted our money back regardless. All the while he was very rude about the whole situation. When I said after I had heard all of his mouth I wanted to hear that I cant wait to write the review he then informed me that he would sue me over a bad review. Ummm okay no! We asked him if we could cancel the other room in our booking he told us no. That the other party would have to cancel himself in person. Okay fine again whatever.... Other party arrives while we are still out in the parking lot now looking for another place to stay and he walks in to cancel his room. The gentleman calls me back in and very very rudely asks me where the ants were in my room. As I am trying to tell him he cuts me off 3 different times. I finally stopped and asked him if he would let me talk which he continues to talk over me. Then tells me that the whole thing was fishy bc we had called to cancel prior. He yells at me and I walked out of the hotel. This is the worst I have ever been treated by any staff anywhere. I am appalled at the fact that he questioned me like he did. There were ants all over it then trying to make me out to be the liar. NOT ACCEPTABLE...

Let me start this off by saying this, ✋✋if you're considering this hotel please look elsewhere.👈☝👉👇 It's not worth it, You're better off sleeping in your vehicle than spending money here. My 2 night stay was horrible😠😠😞😝😒The room I reserved mattress was awfully😝 stained the tub had hundreds of cigarette burn marks and looked dirty 😝and the hot tub was actually dirty😝They ended up putting me in another room where the king size bed had 3 little pillows 😒and the remote didn't work😒 It was also missing a night stand😞After getting more pillows, setting up a travel table as a night stand, and not making a fuss about the remote we left only to come back to a hot room where the air didn't work. When asked to see if it could be fixed I was told maintenance wouldn't be in until 7 am😕 After waking up hot I asked again about maintenance that morning only to be told maintenance doesn't work on weekends😕but was told they would try and get in touch with them to come fix it. While I was being told this another guess was being told he couldn't have new towels or wash cloths because they need them for other guests😯😕😑I leave for majority of the day to come back and be told maintenance was here and will be told to come up and fix my AC or if I see him tell him my issue. I wait for hours before I head back down stairs to ask about my ac, while I waited I heard the front desk clerk tell the guy checking in don't ask for towels because there are none check and see if there is some in the morning😞😞 when I asked about the maintenance I was told he had checked my ac while I was gone😒😒 I told them I had never left the room, and the response was I'll tell him to come straight up there or if I see him on the way back up tell him come to my room asap but I was leaving in the AM so i said im going back up to try and sleep don't worry about it😑😑 After another HOT night I gathered my things and checked out and whilst checking out I told the manager about my experience only to get the look of yeah I get this a lot but here is your receipt and was also told why he didn't understand why I was told the maintenance guy was on his way because they don't work on weekends😕😑😕😑. Never again will I recommend or go back to this place. The only reason I did was because every hotel around the city either had increased there rates or were booked😠😔😠😔. I repeat DO NOT AGAIN I SAY DO NOT STAY HERE!! it is not worth it. Also I spoke with 3 other guests that demanded a refund as well as one walked out after seeing photos of my room and the guy in front of me wanting a refund. I wish I knew how to upload pictures along...

Staff at the front desk not professional, friendly or helpful. When asked anything about the hotel they shrugged their shoulders & stated they couldn't help us & we would have to ask the manager who would be in "tomorrow". Two different days we were told the same thing-the manager wasn't there but would be in tomorrow. We explained there was no soap or shampoo in our room & were handed one tiny bar of soap. When we told them there was no shower curtain in our room we were handed a shower curtain which we had to install ourselves. Breakfast was disappointing to say the least. The sign in the lobby referred to it as the "Super Star Breakfast" however it consisted of 2 types of cold cereal, a loaf of bread, tiny packets of jam and peanut butter, pre-packaged fruit bars and blueberry muffins and apples and bananas (if you got there early enough). The orange juice was undrinkable. The fridge in our room was frozen over & not cold. The microwave was unlevel & wobbly. Room lighting was extremely dark. We were unable to see to read at night. There was no place to hang a towel at the sink which was in the room so you had to walk with wet hands into the bathroom (if no one was in there at the time) to dry them. Also, be warned, they run your credit card immediately upon check in and there are no refunds for anything or early check out. We know because we asked. There is an Arby fast food restaurant directly across the street and an Italian and Mexican restaurant across the side street. But be alert. We had never stayed in Louisville before and learned quickly that this was not the safest of locations. The hotel is close to the Expo Center but so are several other hotel options. Also, don't be fooled thinking this is a Super 8 Wyndham hotel. We learned by speaking with Wyndham Hotels customer service that this hotel (as well as other Wyndham properties) is locally owned by an LLC in agreement with Wyndham and Wyndham is not responsible for issues...
