We chose this hotel for our overnight stay based on reviews. I feel like it's overrated. When we walked in I could smell cigarette smoke. The clerk was on the phone, so we waited. After he hung up, he took another lengthy call instead of asking them to hold so he could check us in. 10 minutes later, he was ready to help us. When we turned the corner to get to our room, the smell of smoke was almost overwhelming. We got to our non-smoking room, and it seemed to smell ok, but I felt as though I now smelled like smoke. We changed into our swimsuits and headed to the pool. It needed to be vacuumed, there was a lot of dirt on the bottom. Also, I'm glad I brought me own towel, because of the 2 that were available for swimmers, one was stained with blood. After a quick dip (we couldn't convince my daughter not to swim in the dirty pool) we headed back down the smokey hall to take a shower. The sink in the bathroom smelled like sewer. I gagged while I brushing my teeth. It seemed to get stronger as the night went on. Also, we stayed on the bottom floor and could easily hear everything happening above us. There were also some nasty stains on the carpet and the beds were very firm. The breakfast that was available the next morning was good and had a wide variety of things available. Overall, this hotel was just ok. I feel it's a bit overpriced and needs some attention. I would not recommend this hotel to others and I would not stay her again. I wished I paid another $20 to stay at a...
Read moreSuper 8 Wyndham in Lowell, AR, seamlessly blended convenience and comfort during our work trip, serving as a practical base with its strategic location. The rooms, though unpretentious, were spotlessly clean and provided a peaceful haven after bustling workdays. A minor hiccup with malfunctioning room keys was swiftly resolved by the amiable and efficient staff, ensuring minimal disruption to our stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a no-fuss, hearty start to our days, eliminating the need to scout for morning meal options elsewhere. Notably, the hotel demonstrated a thoughtful touch with a parking spot reserved for Veterans and ample handicap parking, reflecting an inclusive and considerate approach. While our stay was work-centric, the hotel did offer additional amenities that we regrettably couldn’t explore, including an inviting indoor pool and a handy laundry room. The outdoor area featured a picnic bench and BBQ facilities, providing a potential spot for relaxation and socializing. In summary, Super 8 Wyndham, despite a few minor setbacks, presented a sensible and accommodating lodging option, ensuring our work-related travels unfolded with ease, and offering a sprinkle of leisure amenities that could enhance...
Read moreThis Super 8 is virtually spotlessly clean, and staff like Shashi (apologies if misspelled) were genuinely kind. Unfortunately, my stay devolved into surreal hostility. An elusive individual (likely staff/maintenance) with unfettered access began targeting me in real-time through walls/hallways, reacting instantly to even undetectable actions (e.g., scratching my arm, shifting silently). Testing this 10 times confirmed the pattern—immediate scurrying/thuds after each move, ceasing only when I did, and this is just one example, among half a dozen or more. Moved rooms, but the harassment resumed. Shashi kindly lent her time and an ear to listen to my story, however, livid management dismissed my claims without investigation and twisted it around as if I had done something wrong, when what I did was to reach out to them for help. While the hotel was nearly pristine, the inability to relax due to orchestrated, trolly behavior overshadows the cleanliness. Maybe you'll have better luck, but my advice is: stay here only if you enjoy ambient...
