Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Lowell

I’m so grossed out and felt ill the whole day. So I went to EBB Saturday morning and ordered a coffee drink and a couple sandwiches. After drinking my drink I shook my cup and heard something rattling in it. Imagine my surprise when I opened the lid and a fake pink finger nail was at the bottom of my cup. My wife and I immediately felt disgusted. I called the manager on duty and reported the situation to her and told her I would be back Sunday morning. On Sunday I arrived and since the manager was not there I asked for the next supervisor. I scoped the food prep area and everyone there was wearing gloves as they should be. When I looked at the beverage maker she was not wearing gloves at all. I could not see her fingernails to determine if she had been the one to prepare my drink the day before. So I told the supervisor of the situation and requested a full refund. She promptly refunded my money with no apology of what had transpired the day before. I also looked at her nails to see if she was in compliance of health department codes since she was prepping sandwiches earlier. Well no, she wasn’t, although she had thin food prep gloves on, her nails were long with sharp pointy ends. I left just shaking my head. I come here about twice a week. The girls working the drive through window and the front are always so sweet. Even when they get busy and backed up they still manage to show great customer service.

However...

Today I came in and they were absolutely slammed. As one of the girls was trying to take an order some older employee who was missing some teeth came up to her and was giving her an insanely hard time. She's trying to engage the customer and he was yelling at her about some order on a screen. She tried her best to not lose her composure, but this guy kept harassing her all in front of multiple customers.

Not sure if this guy is a manager or just a random employee, I never really have seen him before but he berated her so bad that you can tell she was ready to break down. Whoever this is, needs a lesson in respect and common courtesy. If this guy was the manager and I worked there I would start looking for a new job. Can't stand condescending...

Didn't realize this store was here. I just happened to see it when I was on my way to somewhere else. I came back. I live in Little Rock and this location is easily accessible to me. Now, I know there is one here. It is literally right off the Interstate. This will probably be my regular stop whenever I come to Northwest Arkansas. There was plenty of parking. I guess this location is too new. I picked up my regular bakers dozen. Don't know when I will be near an Einstein anytime soon. Less than half dozen customers inside. Looks like they had plenty of employees on hand. Had ample selection @ 11am. We bring them back and freeze them. We purchase them uncut. We toast them when it is time to eat one. Haven't had one yet.
