Room smelled really bad. Furniture was broken, there was no chair to go with the broken desk. The TV was busted. There was a chunk out of it and the screen had large black blobs and blue streaks running down it. The outlet near the bathroom was broken and missing the bottom corner of the cover so that I could see all the dust and debris inside. The lights above this area were dirty and one was busted and missing pieces. The "closet," if you want to call it that, was literally a rusted metal rod with some very rusty and sharp things hanging down that I guess you're supposed to hang your clothes hangers on (which there weren't any). The bathroom was so small we had to leave the door open in order to sit comfortably on the toilet. The shower curtain was soaked and I'm pretty sure the black marks were mold! The tub was still wet. When my daughter took the first shower we found out why the shower was wet, the water wouldn't drain! The light above the shower was barely hanging on to the ceiling. The dresser was old and falling apart. It had questionable stains in the one drawer, the other drawer was falling apart. The desk was broken, the side was not even connected to the back on the one side. There were no chairs in the room. Had to sit on the bed any time you wanted to sit down. The beds didn't have bedframes, they were up on 2x4 boards. The sheets were filthy. The one bedspread had a large stain that could only be described as a blood stain. (YIKES!) We did search the beds for bedbugs and didn't find any, so that was good. But we were afraid to climb between the sheets because of the dirtiness of the bedding. There was a light fixture on the ceiling that was just a bare light bulb. There was a microwave and a mini fridge, but the microwave had dried up food in it. The refrigerator was dinged up and rusty. The door to the room had a large gap at the bottom of the door to the right. You could see daylight...
Read moreI stayed here with a buddy of mine for the second leg of my birthday weekend a few weeks back. When we checked into our room we were greeted with multiple tall boy alcohol cans in the door way from presumably our neighbor in Room 212, Mr. Crowley who we soon learned sits in a chair all day, eats cigarettes and drinks Budweiser along with other classics. The room had an interesting, a little nauseating smell that I feel like is with me for life. A wall by the bathroom had a nice fist hole through it that was elegantly painted over and not fixed. The common area was less than desirable. The beds were old and towels for showers were small for a grown adult. After we left out for the day and returned we found another half drank beer can of Keystone or any equal level drink. After a long day it was promptly shunted from our door way, through the rainfall and landing near the dumpster where it seems like people did anything but throw the garbage in the bin.
The second morning I walked from our end which was the farthest from the office to the office. I passed a man who was making loud noises in front of his room around 7:45am, didn’t say hello back and clearly just wanted to be annoying.
Hotel staff was friendly. Romeos Pizza designs on room keys were ok. Nice to have a nearby gas station to go to for items. Good hotel room for the money and a must stop if you are pinching pennies to do...
Read moreOverall 3 stars because I've stayed in other Knights Inn locations that were really good. This one left a bit to be desired. The good: There were no bugs, or even evidence of bugs. That's a pretty huge deal for me. Also, Popeye's chicken is like 5 minutes up the road. I know they cant control that, but its a nice feature. And they allow pets for a reasonable fee. Part of the reason for my stay was to actually be able to sleep because my own pet is a jerk who terrorizes me in my sleep, but its nice that folks that dont have a psychotic pet can bring their buddy along. The less desirable: The photos my husband showed me online were definitely a different location. Check in was a bit difficult because the receptionist kept her back to us and we couldnt hear her through the bullet proof window. Oof. The sheets were definitely stained, which woukd normally be kind of "eesh" for me but i coukd deal if i was certain they were just worn. Definitely found dirty linens in the bathroom though, so that made the sheet issue questionable at best. The tub was broken. Like, BROKEN. It leaked all over the bathroom floor. The springs in the mattress were a battle that left us broken. I would normally just chalk it up to being old and accustomed to my own bed, but i had no such problems last year after staying at a La Quinta. Or for that matter after spending a night on a camp cot...
