I would have chosen a ZERO star rating if it were available! I went through the drive-thru around noon (they open at 10:30 a.m.) and ordered a 5-piece tender meal priced at $15.49, but was somehow charged $20. Then I was told to pull around to the main entrance because they were waiting for the chicken to cook and someone would bring out my food and receipt in about 10 minutes. I find it very interesting that they would not provide me with my receipt. They need to install the "if asked to pay a different amount, please contact the manager" like Dunkin Donuts has at their drive-thru. Since they would not give me my receipt, I can only assume the difference was pocketed. After waiting over 30 minutes, and seeing other customers that ordered after me in the drive-thru pulling away with large bags of food, I went into the store and got behind a man that had been waiting 45 minutes for food. When we explained that we were still waiting for our drive-thru orders, the front-counter girl said they had forgotten about our orders and mumbled something about "you people know it's New Years Eve, right?", like what does that have to do with waiting over 30 minutes for chicken at a CHICKEN restaurant! She seemed as though she was more interested in constantly smacking the side of her head, scratching, poking and picking at her uncovered, and extremely matted hair with ungloved hands as if she were trying to address an infestation problem. The man asked about the status of our orders and she became mouthy, irate and downright nasty that she had to temporarily postpone her hair situation and actually do some work. The other six employees there were just standing around, talking/laughing amongst themselves or playing/texting on their mobiles. After we waited another 10-12 minutes for the chicken to supposedly finish cooking (no freshly cooked chicken was ever produced while we were waiting), the front-counter girl finally threw our food that had been sitting under the warmers ALL ALONG, into boxes/bags and said nothing about being sorry for the delay. The man in front of me asked to speak with a manager but was told that there wasn't a manager on site because "it's NYE!" The staff treated us like we were inconveniencing them just because we ordered food and were expecting to get what we paid for and expecting them to perform a job that they are getting paid to do. When I got home, I only received 3 very small tenders, the fries and sauces were missing and I only received 1/2 a biscuit and it was in crumbs. The only item that was right was the drink because I had to get that myself from a disgustingly dirty drink machine that had no ice. So not only did I get overcharged for a 5-piece tender meal, but I received less food than what I was overcharged for! The employees, if you can call them that, need to be replaced with competent and courteous staff and the manager needs to go through an updated training program on how to hire competent people, and how to provide excellent service to their customers. And if the manager was actually there and still allowed the staff to treat customers that way, then he/she needs to be FIRED immediately. There was absolutely no excuse for this kind of service. There are many other restaurants in Macedonia, OH that provide great food and excellent customer service to waste your time, money and frustration on this dump. I tried four previous times to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but this visit was the last straw that influenced me to write...
Read moreI have given this Popeyes wayyy too many chances and I ways get burned.
First off, the service you get here is horrible. Every employee I’ve spoken with here looks like they hate life, and hate their job more. There have been so many times I’ve come here around dinner time and they are always out of something, or their card machine isn’t working, or their drive through speaker isn’t working.
Popeyes has been one of my fave restaurants for years, and coming to this location has really turned me off from it for a while. There is a very obvious quality issue with the food here. If and when you can order, you’ll get the smallest tenders ever. One time I paid almost $16 for a 5 piece tender meal and got 5 pieces of fried breading. Literally no chicken at all. I was so mad after having ANOTHER bad experience I just went home and got food somewhere else. I knew if I had complained I would just get push back and yet another bad experience.
One time I went and there was a sign on the drive through speaker to come inside. Going inside to this location was the final straw for me. There was a massive hole in the ceiling, with a trash can underneath catching any dripping water. The floor was sticky and my shoes made and audible noise when walking/stepping around. Not to mention all of the trash and crumbs everywhere. When I got home I actually called the health department and reported the location. I ordered my usual meal, and received a small drink when I normally get a medium (the medium comes with the meal). The employee told me if I wanted a medium drink it would be an extra charge. Then when I got my food I got a sauce I don’t like and asked for ranch. The female employee gave me the worst attitude ever and acted like I offended her. She ripped the other sauce out of my food bag and forcefully threw in my ranch.
To sum up my experience, this had been the worst Popeyes I have ever been to. I thought I had been to a pretty bad one before but this one takes the cake for sure. If you want to get mediocre food, interact with bad employees, and overall want to hate yourself after spending way too long in the drive through, this is the place for you. Avoid...
Read moreHad one of their chicken sandwiches in Biloxi, it was very good. We decided to get chicken sandwiches for dinner. Installed the app on my phone. Placed order which first asks (1) Go inside for pickup OR (2) Drive Thru. Selected (1) Go inside for pickup. Placed order and paid. Arrived during rainstorm. Parked next to front door and dashed to entrance. DOORS LOCKED? Attempted to get attention of employees inside, they gave me signals to get in the drive thru, after that they ignored me. Dashed back to car and proceeded to call so I could explain I was there to pick up my order. THEY DID NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. Tried calling again, SAME RESULT. Decided to get in drive thru behind several cars. After several minutes got to the ordering station and explained that I had an order from the app and was there to pick up. They asked what name it was under. I replied that the app DID NOT ASK FOR A NAME. Gave them my name and they said, no order for my name. After a few more minutes I suggested that I would show them my phone to confirm my order. Got to the pick up window and gave them my phone. They indicated that they did not see what I had ordered on my phone. I said this is the screen that your app shows after the order with your address and a message saying that my order is being worked on. Finally they gave me the two chicken sandwiches and fries that I said I had ordered. (this was the only acceptable action performed by them during this entire debacle). The app lied to me, offered me the option to pick up when this IS NOT AVAILABLE at this location according to the employee's. The app lost my order after charging me. I would say under the circumstances the emp's did the best they could given the GARBAGE APP. I was hoping that this would be my go to dinner on a weekly basis since I enjoy their chicken sandwich, but this will be my last visit to Popeyes in the Cleveland area. Last week I went to the location in Cleveland on Clark avenue and after waiting in line for the drive thru I was told that they did not have chicken sandwiches since they were still frozen. So this is STRIKE THREE,...
