Not too bad of a hotel to stay at for the price for the weekend I stayed. I had some business to attend to in the surrounding areas and every other hotel was at least nearly 200 a night. I took a chance with this one as the reviews seemed a bit mixed. At roughly 150 a night I feel it should have been a little less. The pictures are accurate however they are probably a few years old as things are in somewhat of a wearer condition. Upon my inspection I did not notice any bed bugs which is a plus however the edge of the mattress has been completely cut away from the side pads allowing for someone to completely see the springs on the inside. The bed was not terrible. Traditional dated coil spring mattress that rolls you to the center of the bed due to age and wear. Otherwise what you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber I suppose. Cleaning is one thing that gets to me. There is no reason more especially in this day that rooms have dust, dirt or crumbs ground into the edges of carpet around furniture. You'd expect a hotel to take a bit more care when cleaning as we are still actively in somewhat of a COVID-19 pandemic. I did note that the floors could have used a good shampoo and vacuum. Not sure if people know this but furniture can and should be moved when vacuuming. The shower is just that. A shower and tub but with nothing fancy. No tile mosaics, no waterfall shower head but coming into this hotel you should know from the pictures to not be expecting that anyhow. The pressure was decent and the water came out clear. The two times I took a shower the water maintained temperature fairly well actually which was nice. Also noted in a few other posts the sink faucet is set too far back as it's an older fixture. This does not allow for was of use. You can't really fully get your hands under the faucet. This is more or a real not pick however I'm aware. Overall the hotel isn't terrible and may stay again if it fits my needs. I felt safe, room didn't smell of mold of gross. Convenient gas station directly across the street. I should also note, when we checked in the first day it was really late. Like 2 am late. There wasn't any place to park. There were three or four box trucks that had parked along the parking spots taking up multiple spots, meaning losing 4 or 5 spots per truck which is a lot for such a hotel. If this is the case you will have to park across the street at said had station and walk back across to the hotel.

Extremely disappointed this place has gone downhill over the past couple of years. Came into full lobby and one person working the front desk letting everybody know that their TV service was down all day had to request a discount twice since that's an amenity that most people usually use. Holy carpets were stained there was an arm and Hammer baking soda container on the front desk to get rid of some sort of odor not sure why but definitely was surprising to see got into the room the drawers on the dresser would not stay shut actually jammed my shin on one of them during the night getting up to go to the bathroom. Pull down the covers to go to bed last night and there's a stain and a couple little blood stains on the sheets which was not expected at all literally pulled the comforter over the sheets and just slept on top of the comforter which I'm sure is probably not much safer. Tried calling downstairs cuz there are kids running up and down the hallway all night got put on hold twice and never picked up again sat on hold for over 5 minutes. Breakfast was horrible the "scrambled eggs"not sure what they did to them but they were soupy and tasted like they were doused in salt horrible The coffee was disgusting they have a table set up midway between the breakfast area and the front desk with coffee but the garbage cans to throw away any creamer containers or anything are over by the dining area at least put a garbage can next to the coffee to it throw away the creamer containers so that there's not garbage and sticky creamer residue on the table where you fix your coffee. Overall two stars which is definitely being very generous only because of the location on and off the highway. Definitely hope they improve something here.

First, the staff at this hotel is above par. Check in with Paul was very smooth and easy. Each and every employee we encountered during our stay was extremely friendly and always willing to help with any problem we had. Breakfast was wonderful, clean and always on time and stocked for a complimentary breakfast. The lobby area of the hotel was probably the cleanest and most put together area in the building. The cons on of this location are, The rooms and hallways of the hotel need to be worked on and touched up. The room wasn’t as clean as I would have liked but I don’t complain much about stuff like that so we didn’t say anything. I did request New bedding when we arrived because there was mystery spots on our comforter that I wasn’t comfortable sleeping in. Also, toys in between the mattress and the wall, the position of the toy told me the sheets had not been changed. The room itself was spacious and had a lot of room for potential. The drawers in the adjoining room wouldn’t stay shut. It was off balance and the drawers would stay open even after being closed. I did find trash in the floor next to the bed. We were in town for a funeral and I was not in a mood to complain so we just got new clean bedding and moved on with our stay. The pool area could use a good deep clean. My husband cleaned up a bandage and some socks that were there in the floor our entire weeks stay. He said he didn’t want someone else seeing them and judging the hotel so she went ahead and got those and put them in the trash. The hot tub was nice and warm, the pool was too cold for me. I would stay here again for the price and hospitality. I do hope they remodel and fix some things soon.

We have stayed at this location in the past and been extremely happy with everything, so when it came time for another visit to see family it was a “no-brainer” to book there again for our three-night stay. BIG MISTAKE!!! We wish we had looked at some of the reviews that have been posted since our last stay in late 2022, but alas! We booked our normal king suite to sleep three adults thinking all would be the same as in the past. Our suite contained a king bed/bath in one room, with adjoining sitting room (including a hide-a-bed couch, mini-fridge, microwave, and its own bath). Upon entering the second/sitting room area, we encountered:

  1. a bar of used soap in the bath
  2. a dirty bathmat
  3. handprints all over the full-length mirror to the bathroom
  4. a sink that wouldn’t drain properly
  5. a dirty fitted sheet on the hide-bed
  6. a dirty duvet for the hide-a-bed, including food stains (bright Cheeto-orange; we found some of the Cheetos when we pulled out the bed, so there’s no doubt as to what it was) something resembling make-up, and something else that looked like plain old dirt. We immediately went and spoke to the front desk personnel. The young man there was also able to get the sink functional. He then took the dirty duvet and exchanged it, using his cell phone to take pictures of the stained areas. He did not offer us an option to change rooms, but since we intended to put an airbed (with our own sheets) on top of the hide-a-bed, we thought his offer to be sure that the sitting room area would be sure to be “freshened” on the next day would be sufficient. Despite this, the room did not receive housekeeping at all during our stay — and by that, we mean that NEITHER room received service for any of our stay. At the end of the second day, we went to get clean towels from the front desk and we mentioned the fact that we had not received any housekeeping for the second day in a row. We were told, “You have to call down the day before and ask for it.” Well, we HAD asked for it on day one and didn’t get it; this was the end of day two and we still hadn’t gotten it; and we were checking out the next morning. We “asked” for housekeeping on two out of the three days we stayed there as it was! The only reason we had clean towels and replacement toilet tissue is because we went and hunted it down from the staff. Apart from the dirty room and dirty bathroom in the adjoining/sitting room, there were other issues as well. In both rooms, the dresser drawers did not want to stay shut, but kept sliding open. The furniture appeared beat-up and in need of replacing. The sitting room had a closet area, but no rod on which to hang anything, making the space useless. The floor above us made terrible noise whenever the guests simply walked up and down. Oh, and the smell - - - - of the ENTIRE hotel outside of our room!!! Whenever you walked into the hall it was bad, but the elevator was even worse. When we went to check out, we brought our list of problems to the front desk staff. They were very unresponsive to our suggestion that they should give us a discount on the rate of our room as compensation for the poor room, lack of housekeeping, and all the trouble. The most they were prepared to do was to give us 15 percent off and told us that was all they were authorized to offer. We said we would take it, but that we would be calling their corporate offices to see if someone with more authority could do better by us and were told, “If you call Corporate, you can’t get any discount from us.” While doubting the truthfulness of this statement, we took them up on it and paid the full rate, so now we are trying to see about getting Corporate to make restitution for the worst stay we’ve had anywhere in years! Fellow-travelers, learn from our mistake and be forewarned. Don’t stay here if you’re planning a trip to the...

I’ve never been so grossed out in my entire life. Listen, I’m a pretty easy going person. I’ve stayed in some pretty awful places and I myself was a house keeper throughout college - I get it. No place is perfect and no one is perfect and sometimes stuff happens. However, this has been by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. We arrived around 9:00 after 12 hours of driving, exhausted, tired and ready for bed. We originally requested two rooms on the top floor, but they put us on a lower floor. I explained that my foster son has a difficult time sleeping on lower floors (past trauma) and we would really like a top floor. So they accommodated us and was able to find us two rooms on the top floor just opposite ends of the hallway - no problem. We get up to the first room and put or bags down to find clumps of hair and what looks to be vomit on the bathroom floor. Gross, but okay, maybe it was overlooked or mossed by accident. Went to go check the second room, and it was even worse. There was actual feces on the toilet seat, pee on the floor and seat, floss on the floor, hair everywhere - it was bad. So I headed down to the front desk to ask for some Lysol wipes so I could give the room a good wipe down before bed. They said they weren’t able for us to use their stuff but he would come up and clean it for us. He was very kind and we so appreciate him doing that. Then when he left my foster son went to take a shower and said there was “boogers and blood” on the walls. He wasn’t wrong -Sure enough there were boogers smeared on the door jam, and blood on the wall and back of the bathroom door. Back downstairs we go, where the other desk gentleman came up to clean it for us. When he was finished cleaning the wall he asked us if there were any other spots and I told him I was so sorry and that I would grab some Lysol and so the rest so he could get back to the front desk. So now it’s around 10:45, my foster son is dead tired as this is way past his bedtime, and after we cleaned a bit and brushed our teeth he went to climb into bed...

There was actual human feces on the bed. Hair, actual poop and a yellow stain. My husband went downstairs and asked to either be moved rooms or to get some clean sheets. They said the hotel was full so they would come up and change the sheets. After about 45 minutes my husband went down again to ask if they could just give him the sheets to do it himself because it was almost 11:30 at this point and our foster son (and us) really needed to get to bed. My husband came back upstairs and we changed the sheets together so We could at least try and get some sleep.

After 12 hours in the car the last thing I want to do is spend 3 more hours cleaning a room that was most definitely not cleaned before we arrived. I’m so appalled at the condition of the rooms that I would greatly recommend the hotel spend the time on doing a DEEP clean of the rooms on the fourth floor - if not the entire hotel. The front desk supervisor was very kind and took $20 off of our reservation, unfortunately it didn’t really help ease our nightmare of an experience. I wish we heeded others reviews and warnings and booked at another location.

I urge everyone reading this look at any other hotel brand in the area, save the time the hassle and just stay at another location. Never again will we be staying at a La Quinta...

This was my first and last time staying at la Quinta. If I could give my stay zero stars I would. Checked in around 1am on Friday night. Place looked great in photos online and wasn’t cheap either. I definitely expected a certain quality that was far from what was delivered. Upon checking in we asked if there was a fee for a late check out. We were told no there wasn’t and that a 1pm checkout would be fine. We then proceeded to our room which is where the horror story really begins. The room was as cold as outside. It was -12 degrees Celsius out and probably the same temperature in the room. My friend went to bed in his bed immediately as we had just drove 10 hours to get there. I went to have a shower and found hair in the bath tub/it looked generally unclean as did the entire washroom. When I got out of the shower I went to reach for a towel only to realize there were none. After waiting to dry off naturally whilst shivering I proceeded to get into my pjs and brush my teeth. However the drain in the sink was stuck closed. And The lever to open it wasn’t working. At this point my friend is snoring away and I’m further frustrated and a bit concerned about the state of the room. I then finally crawled into bed. The pillows were incredibly lumpy and the sheets very thin. As I went to pull the blanket over me I noticed what looked to be a squished bug on the sheet which was extremely gross. I put that part of the blanket off the bed and tried not to think about it as my friend was asleep and I wasn’t going to annoy him by waking him and asking to switch rooms.

Then things got worse. I realized there was a bunch of crumbs in my bed, pubic hairs, blood drops on the blanket and I instantly felt very uncomfortable. Eventually I fell asleep but it was short lived. A couple hours later I woke up extremely itchy. I jumped out of bed and instead slept in the office chair. In the morning I received a text asking me what time I would be leaving as well it said that a $30 charge would be applied for a late check out. Naturally I had no desire to stay any longer than I had to so we opted to leave ASAP instead of sleeping in. Not to mention there was no way anyone could sleep in there. Every single noise traveled from the floor above into our room, conversations, stomping around, water running, etc.

My friend went for breakfast and I went to the hot tub as that was a big reason we stayed there. But when I got in I could tell right away that too many chemicals were used and not only that but the hot tub was room temperature at best. the pool room was as well FREEZING. The whole building seeems to be falling apart. It’s now 4am on Sunday and I’m at home. Still itching with red bumps all over my body. Please please PLEASE heed my warning and RUN from this place. I’m not sure how they are even open still. It’s a miracle that health inspectors haven’t shut it down. It was obvious that either my room was never cleaned since the last person that stayed in it OR it wasn’t cleaned to any sort of standard whatsoever. If I could get my money back I will. I plan on contacting their head office to warn them about this property and the clear infestation/hazards on site. Seriously stay ANYWHERE else. Anything is better than...
