Totally beyond my expectation! Honestly, the first glance at the appearance of the building was completely on the opposite site of my impression of an “inn”. But as long as I got into the house, I was absolutely impressed! The traditional dining hall, antique lounge, complimentary service (including breakfast and wine) and especially the details of bedroom setting - silky texture sheets, wooden fans, spa tub, and small decorations such as microscope and college books - everything here is amazingly attractive! The only defect might be a lack of sound insulation that you might hear others’ occasional footsteps since this is an old house. But nothing is bad if you consider this place as a home. I would definitely come back in the future and recommend my friends to be here! 5 stars! And I have to revise this comment, adding more appreciations to the complimentary breakfast: it is sooooo great! Gorgeous breakfast, decent people, considerable service and wonderful talk! I should give it 6 stars!

Had a wonderful stay at The Buckingham Inn! The room was very spacious and clean. Our breakfasts each morning were delicious! The cranberry French toast was maybe the best I’ve ever had! The Inn is located very close to UW Madison campus and easy access to great restaurants and shops. Very friendly hosts and great service overall. Would highly recommend staying here for a cozy and relaxing B&B experience!

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Buckingham Inn. The room was clean and the bathroom was very pretty(we stayed in the varsity room). There were snacks and extra toiletries. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything about the Buckingham Inn is top notch. Heidi and Tom, the innkeepers, are incredibly lovely and friendly people, and they are so thoughtful about the experience they provide to their guests. ||We were in Madison to move our freshman into her dorm, and we stayed in the Varsity Suite for 3 nights to be "tourists" in our daughters new city. We loved everything about the inn and about Madison. The common areas and rooms in the inn are immaculate -- every corner is clean and every attention to detail has been considered, from the room's theme and memorabilia to the thoughtful complementary snacks and drinks included in the room. (Our Varsity suite had UW memorabilia, including old yearbooks dating from the 1930s... it was SO much fun flipping through those books as we would unwind after a long day of sightseeing.) ||Tom and Heidi are such a wealth of knowledge about the university and city. They provided us with maps to guide us to the lakeshore trail as well as tips on the best streets and campus areas to experience as we made our way to visit the capitol building. We stayed to attend the Bucky Bash tailgate and first football game of the season, and the inn could not be more convenient to tailgate festivities and Camp Randall Stadium -- the main street for the inn is even blocked off and staffed by law enforcement the day of the game, so it was so easy and safe to walk to and from the events. ||The made- in-house breakfasts morning were fantastic. We were really appreciative that the inn happily accommodates special diet requests, and our vegetarian options were wonderful. ||We really felt like Heidi and Tom had become friends by the time we departed, and we look forward to visiting again over the...

I was very impressed with this bed and breakfast. The rooms were quite large, especially the bathrooms. I expected older student housing but the inside has been refurbished very well and is the nicest house for blocks. The entry system is nice and easy to use.

The hosts are extremely nice people that have thought of everything. They prepare your stay just as they would want it for themselves. There is a book provided outlining everything you want to know about the TV, places to eat, ice, check in/out, breakfast, in detail that answers every question you could have. They offer complimentary wine and snacks and have a few chocolates. There are very cozy robes. I think there are SIX pillows that are excellent (as is the bed). There is a common area to use. A nice TV with every major steaming service, wow! And the showers are excellent. Every category you would question about a hotel stay they get an A+. Quite impressive.

The breakfast is thoughtful and super tasting. They are eager to accommodate specific dietary needs and are in touch with you before the arrival so everything goes smoothly. There are three rooms and they have parking for you.

I have spoken with others that stayed there and they love The Buckingham Inn as well. Do yourself a favor and stay here, you will be...
