I arrived at this hotel around 8pm with my dogs. I was told under no circumstance can I leave my dogs unattended in the room even while I eat as there is a designated eating area you can bring your dog while you eat BUT here’s the kicker, you can’t bring your dog to make a plate of food and you can’t leave your dog in the designated eating room while you go make a plate of food. I am a solo traveler so unless staff are going to make my plate or hold my dog that is impossible for me to do. In the morning at 830am I gathered my belongings and I went to pack 2 bags in my car and grab breakfast. I was gone 15min. I was back in my room when I received a phone call saying the housekeeping has heard my dogs barking for the last 30 min or so. I laughed as that was a bit dramatic and I was gone 15m. Housekeeping was not on my floor at the time either. They compared dogs to babies saying you can’t leave a dog in a room just like you can’t leave a baby in a room. However they suggested I could leave my dog in the car, but you can’t leave babies in a car so why should I leave my dog in the car especially since I’m paying for my dog to stay. I would never leave my dog in a hotel room for longer than 20-30m and I’d rent an Airbnb if I was bringing dogs on a trip rather than passing through for one night. This hotel claims to be pet friendly but expect to not even be able to pack your car without getting a phone call. This was the FIRST call I have ever received by a hotel. I’m completely baffled by the situation. However if children run up and down the hall that’s okay, if the baby is crying next door for 30m that’s okay, and if the trash man comes at 7am to make very loud noises outside my room to wake myself and my dogs up that’s okay too. The hotel is very nice and clean. It’s in a great area very close to local restaurants. It’s perfect it you don’t have pets. They charged me $75 for my dogs to stay and I was only there for 13 hours and I couldn’t leave my room for 15m without a phone call. Very unrealistic expectations for solo travelers. If I didn’t have pets I’d have given it 5 stars. I think they should reevaluate their current policies as they are unrealistic...

Cons: Bathroom doors.
We stayed here as part of a wedding block and it was great. Hotel is in easy walking distance to the outlet stores and the charming downtown area including the amazing bookstore. There is a grocery store across the street and a Walgreens an easy stroll away. My wife can't live without her Dunkin iced coffee and there is one directly across the street. Never had a problem finding an open parking spot. Staff was awesome. Always friendly and helpful. Even the housekeeping staff and maintenance were always friendly. One staff member typed up instructions to get us back home on the fastest route (I still can't get Google maps to recommend that route). Rooms were great. Clean, bedding was comfortable, plenty of TV channels and lots of outlets and usb power Jacks. Room has a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast, while not mind blowing, was way better than your average hotel breakfast. All items were kept stocked and members of my group raved about the waffles. There is room to sit outside on the patio or in the dining room.
The one drawback - the bathroom door. It is a sliding door that covers the closet in one position then slides to cover the bathroom. Make sure you are staying with someone you trust and are OK with seeing you naked because it doesn't lock. In fact it takes a deft touch to even get it to stay closed. Minor issue and it wouldn't prevent me from staying here...
Read moreThis Hampton is very unique - just by it's design and location. Manchester is quite charming and this hotel location is pretty prime - with a grocery store and pizza shop across the street, and the rest of the town mostly all within a 15-minute walking distance radius.
We were welcomed into the hotel by Stacy, the director of sales. She was working alone so I had assumed the hotel was understaffed or something. It really made no difference because nothing seemed to phase Stacy. She continued to check in guests with an answer to every question, and accomodation to every request, and a smile in every direction. She thanked me NUMEROUS times for being a Diamond member and made us feel welcomed constantly.
The pool and hot tub area are in a glass area, so it's not the most private experience. But with the lack of traffic (but cars and pedestrians), it's not a major issue. The pool and hot tub were nice and a comfortable experience. Outside of the pool area there's an outdoor fire pit that looked quite welcoming.
At breakfast, Steve was the friendliest person around. He greeted everyone, refilled items, cleaned tables... You name it. He went above and beyond with the level of hospitality he delivered all around and definitely...
