I mostly liked most aspects of this hotel and my stay. It is a very clean hotel. They accept pets for a fair deposit price. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is good and complimentary. Check out until noon is nice if you are like me and like a little more "relaxed" morning. Coffee is available all day. I like all the solid surfaces in the room to set things on. I worry a little less about bedbugs when most of the surfaces are solid like that. Frankly, I would prefer hotels have tile or hardwood floors instead of carpet, but that's just me. There are a few things I might have liked better, but I acknowledge that some of the things I might say are beyond the control of the hotel or its staff. I did request a main floor room in a quiet location. I was placed in a second floor room above the front entrance. I did not check in until nearly 7:00 pm, so perhaps that was the only pet room they had left. There must have been construction going on somewhere nearby because I could hear machinery noise in the distance, and there was some amount of noise due to the entrance beneath me. The noise did keep me awake longer than I would have liked. I would have liked the hotel to have designated pet areas labeled better. I never saw any signs. Also a Pet station with bags to pickup after my dog and a receptacle to put the waste in would have been nice. I have arthritis in my knee, and I am tall at 5'10". I always wish hotels would install taller toilets, but maybe you have to request an accessible room to get that amenity. The final thing was the price of my room that night. I was able to use my rewards points, but if I hadn't, my room would have been pricier than usual due, I think, to the upcoming solar eclipse passing over that area and the resulting increase in tourism. I felt like the room rate was pricy which is why I elected to use my...
Read moreSurprisingly, this hotel was not bad at all. There was ample parking, a lobby with free breakfast and computer center available if needed. We had the two queen suite. The tv was a nice size plus sofabed. I really like the desk and chair area too. There's tons of restaurants nearby. There is a pool, but for some reason, it felt like a sauna in there. It was already hot outside, I didn't want to be in a warm indoor pool.
The only reason why I'm giving a rating of 3 stars is because of two complaints. The walls were too damn thin. We could hear the people next to us very clearly! Thankfully there wasn't anything intimate going on, but there was a party happening, and it was just too loud - not the music, it was the voices! We were in room 223, so thankfully we were near to the elevators. We didn't even hear when people were out by the elevators, but I could clearly hear the guests next to us.
Secondly, the bathroom includes bath/shower products plus hand soap and lotion, which is a plus, because that's provided less thing to pack. However, the toilet was too low! My 70-year old mother and I are both 5'4. She recently had knee and hip surgery, so she decided to squat over the toilet. I sat but hurt my knees using the toilet. Thankfully, my husband didn't come. He's 6'4, he would have had a very hard time. They need to install bars next to the toilet. Also the tub floor was slippery - again, mother with recent hip and knee surgery... that...
Read moreThe absolute worst experience I've ever had. Made my reservation months in advance never received my confirmation number even when I called for it two times. Arrive on my scheduled date the front desk had the wrong departure date, even after confirming the date 5 separate occasions. The women working front desk "fixed" it. I asked for a print out of the changes to sign she said I didn't need a new print out. So the next day I find out through housekeeping that the date wasn't changed. Front desk said there's nothing they can do and suggested a hotel up the road. It felt like they got my money and didn't care about anything else after the fact. I'm here for a wedding, to watch my best friends get engaged this has ruined the entire experience for me now I have to rush and hopefully find somewhere to stay so I can get bathed and dressed. No one attempted to hold anyone accountable. This is just bad business. Update: Per the previous statement I made, I was confirmed to have 2 days booked before my arrival. Then once I arrived and the person working the front desk said I was knocked down to one day she went ahead and extended my stay AGAIN. I was then charged for 2 days. It took well over the standard 7 days for the refund of the 2nd day I was charged to finally come back to my account after management continued to deny that a 2nd day was ever booked to begin with. To this day this experience still dosent sit right with my heart and how I...
