When my wife and I decided to buy a home, we went with John Streuter and Kelly Green at Farmer's State Bank. I'm glad we did! Even in these uncertain economic times, the folks at Farmer's went to bat for us and helped us through every step of the process. John was able to secure a rate for us that lowered our monthly payment by hundreds of dollars. But more than that, it was truly a blessing to be able to work with people who genuinely cared about us. Granted we weren't buying a big 'ol house in a fancy subdivision, we just found the right house for us and our family. There were times we would send an email to John on a Saturday, (not expecting a response until Monday morning) and he would get back to us with an answer to our question within a couple minutes! A parent group of 2023 Herrin High School grads opened an account for Project Graduation several months back. Being one of those parents, I was a little anxious about everything that goes along with planning a big celebration like we had in mind.
