Duplex Motel — Hotel in Marlborough

I really like the employees here tonight. They went out of their way to make sure I got the right price and to make sure my stay was comfortable. What I didn't like is the condition of the room. I mean you do get what you pay for but I've worked hotels housekeeping and inspector. And for me to walk into the bathroom blonde hair everywhere, toilet had a brown ring inside when I lift the seat it was yellow spots everywhere. I mean come on now. Who ever inspected this room and approved of it either don't care or hate their job. How would you feel if you was in my shoes. Front desk employees tonight lovely, caring, nice. But your personality should match your business. That's how you build clientele good reviews and guest will come back. They'll remember the friendly people at the desk and the spantactular room. This place is filthy. It could be such a cool place. There are little individual buildings for rooms, they seem to never be available though, which is unique and appealing. Such a shame the owner doesn't set a higher standard for their business. Rooms are $60 and I've stayed at cheaper places that were way nicer and I wasn't nervous about laying on the bed with my own blankets and pillows and walking around barefoot. Owner was nice but some advice to him is to take pride in your motel and set a higher standard for your housekeepers. Make them actually work and clean up these rooms!! Might actually have customers during the week... A name change might be ideal too. Like Comfort Cottage since there are the individual buildings. Just...

My son and I stayed in this motel for three months while we were relocating and would recommend it to anyone! It's convenient to many restaurants, shopping and recreational facilities, the rates are reasonable, and the service is excellent. It's clean and quiet in spite of its location on a busy highway, and even allowde us to keep our bird there (though I'm told dogs and cats are not allowed).
