Since Ronnie bought the store the improvements are fabulous. It's a consignment shop more so than antiques, if you're looking for decorations for the house along with furniture it's a good place compared to thrift stores for sure. Not sure about the discounting to the vendor's items happening without them doing it themselves. Seems a little like giving your items away if they don't sell fast enough. I had a previous experience with a consignment that I did and didn't appreciate the markdowns without my input. Not sure about the 50% commission on it as well. Then again, if the vendors know it and approve the process that's on them. A discount for paying with cash is a plus too. Overall it's a hit-and-miss which makes it an interesting place to stop in now and again. Definitely, an improvement over all the new merchandise that use to be in the store and a lot of variety too. I really enjoyed The Green Goose Resale & Consignment shop. I was looking for a kitchen table and they had tons of options. I didn't want to order something online and have to assemble it, so I Googled some resale shops around my area. They have so many awesome vintage pieces. I had trouble picking out a table because there were so many good options!! They also had a king bed I liked, but I didn't get it since I was worried about the size of the bed in my room. I did however get the kitchen table. The staff was so nice, they could have ripped me off by suggesting to use a moving service, but they were honest and took the table top off so that I could get it in my car to save money. The owner was extremely rude and does not know how to talk to people instead of thanking for consideration when wanting to consign with them I just got a "no thank you" no explanation why they would not consign it and when I called to ask why and say it was rude just saying no thank you without an explanation or appreciation for considering them for consignment his response was "how many successful businesses do you own?" No apology, nothing, in addition he basically called what I was wanting to consign trash. I will never consign with Green Goose, shop there or recommend them. Do not support this self righteous...
