PROS: The pizza was tasty as usual with Papa Johns
CONS: I ordered 4x pizzas and 2x 2-ltr sodas. The pizzas that I ordered were: 1 Lg Meat lovers 1 Lg Supreme 1 Lg Pepperoni 1 Lg Canadian bacon with pineapple
They told me the total was ~$73 for 4 pizzas. I was quite surprised. So I told them we'd discuss the price when I came in to pick up the order.
I arrive and things just get more interesting. I asked to see the breakdown of the bill before I paid and the lady behind the desk said that she can't provide that until I pay...seriously? So I asked, "So you're telling me I can't see what I'm paying for until I pay for it?" She says, "Well when you say it like that, it sounds stupid." So I just look at her perplexed. She then tells me I can look at the screen. So I at that point I'm wondering why she didn't just say that earlier but I just shrug it off. I look at the breakdown and see that the meat lovers and supreme were $17 and 2 other pizzas were near $13.50 and $12.00 if I recall. At this point I asked why she didn't give me the special's prices. Here response was...you didn't ask. I asked, "You have to request them." She said she isn't supposed to apply special's prices unless requested. Now I understand some of you may think that's okay for a company to have a policy that they will not automatically apply special prices. But when I go to Imo's, Pizza Hut and Dominos, they always let me know that they can make it cheaper if I do/order X. So not only was there a special for Large "premium" pizzas to be $12.00 instead of $17.00, but they could do 2 Large, 2 topping pizzas for $9.00 each. She told me she couldn't give me the second special because my one pizza was only 1 topping. So I asked her to simply give me some extra pepperoni's on the side. Oh wow, all of a sudden they could give me the remaining 2 pizzas for $9 each instead of $13.50 and $12.00. Needless to say, I was a huge advocate for Papa Johns until this incident. Again, I realize some of you don't see this being a big deal which is fine, but I can find good pizza elsewhere. I want to buy at a franchise that is wanting to give me the best deal possible to incentivize me to keep coming back. Sorry PPJoes, I won't be...
Read moreI typically don't review places, especially pizza places. I mean, it's pizza, how can you have a bad experience with pizza? Well, when I went to pick up my pizza there were about 4-5 men working. One of those men (not sure on his name) was behind the racks in the middle of the cooking area where they place pizzas that are ready to be picked up. He was looking at me IN BETWEEN boxes and racks where I could barely see him yelling at me "Order or Pick up?". I can't even begin to explain how rude his tone was. He had yelled this at least three times, I just didn't realize he was talking to me because I am not used to being asked something, literally, before I am even in the building from opening the door. He was talking to me like I was the dumbest person he had ever talked to. Once I realized he was talking to me after playing a variation of "Where's Waldo" with him, I gave him an equally as warming glare back (which every worker noticed) and said "Pick up". This may be no big deal for others, but it really bugged me. Still is. I wasn't bothering anybody and I wasn't demanding on being helped right that second. If he was that busy, I would have been happy to wait for a few minutes. I don't know what his deal was. So again, really didn't think you could ruin picking up a pizza, but Congrats, Watson Team!...
Read moreI want to give this place a decent review. It's decent pizza. Reasonable wait times. Easy online ordering. Here's where they continue to lose me, I order pay and TIP online. Or at least I used to. I now try and pay cash but its 2020. Who has cash? Instead of sending their delivery drivers when I pay and tip online. They send a food delivery service (one in particular that I don't support, but can't say because then this review will get flagged). On different occasions I've had them call me and get lost on the phone because they didn't understand which way was east and west. Forget half my order and never go back to get it. Ignore the no contact option. And my personal favorite, give me attitude for not tipping them on top of the 25% tip that I added to my credit card payment. Which means, THEY ARE KEEPING THE DRIVERS MONEY!!! Seriously? I need to start tipping them the name of a good class action...
